Koni Yellows & OEM ITR Springs.

Documentation is slim to none on this setup for an EF... let alone a wagon.
What are the members thoughts on this?
OEM ITR spring rates:
front: 250lb linear
rear: 140-250lb progressive
matched with ITR top hats and Koni Yellows.
My thoughts are that with the ITR springs being .5" shorter than the LS/GS/GSR springs, a higher spring rate, and the adjustable perches of the koni's, I should be able to dial in a near stock ride height that is setup nearly perfect for a Canadian daily driver. Shitty roads, lots of snow, so on and so on. A .5" drop in the rear would be acceptable, but i want no drop in front. My OEM stuff is not tired, but I want a bigger smile on my face. I do not want to go 350/250linear of the Ground Controls, and I don't want to go lawn mower.

Ride Function, Purpose and History: You need this in order to tell me if the koni setup is a good idea.
- 11 year owner. same car.
- daily driver
- tool hauler, interior stripped down to driver seat only. weight can vary +400lbs at any given time. with glove box removed, 8.5' ladders and planks fit perfectly.
- most weeks it's 2 days with tools and 5 days with no tools. without them... i love driving it, even the way it sits right now.
- the cars fun factor is entirely based on weight. when it's empty, with no interior, it reminds me of the crx's i used to own, but i can see out of the back and fit more than a pack of smokes.
- summer, amazing roads, watch for holes, little traffic
- winter, can be endless snow, ice, dragons, sasquatch... you never know.
Mods:
- Fresh fresh d16a6 rebuilt top to bottom, 7000kms.
- CRX Si tranny.
- DC 4-2-1
- AEM CAI
- Godspeed LCA's
- Hawk HP+ pads, Russel stainless brake lines
- Random Prothane bushings all over the place.
This setup would surprise most people.

That's the spirit!
I'm looking to overhaul my RT's suspension. Curious to see how this will work out for ya.
EF Koni yellows w/ ITR Springs & Top Hats. There was a dilemma, the koni's have a 12mm shaft and OEM is 10mm. Koni includes a 12mm sleeve bushing for the top hat, i didn't receive that on my gently used koni's. i ended up ordering 2x Prothane 19-920 kits. they are the top hat bushings with a 12mm sleeve. ITR & s2k use a molded metal washer in their top hat bushings and are a bit stiffer than most. I don't really want the Prothane bushings, just the 12mm sleeves! Which are impossible to find locally. I have already drilled out the ITR bushings to 12mm. we will see how that works out, waiting for the prothane kits. I have no idea what ride height is going to be. I will need the bump stops from my oem shocks as well as the dust guards (i'm going to use them)
when you look at the front springs (left image) where the top hats are is where they need to be installed. so the one on the left is on the lower perch and and requires about 2" of spring compression to fit, and the one of the left will be about 2.75" of spring compression to fit. am i correct in thinking that the one on the left is the correct way to go to achieve goodness?\
rears are set at the middle perch and the 140-250lb progressive spring could be compressed by hand to fit the top hat. does this seem right for near oem ride height or should i raise to top perch?
I just acquired some 14x6 et30 rims this morning. that's going to be a different teaser thread in spring when the snow is gone.
How's that for spirit!?
- Ride height is .75 - 1" dropped front
- rear dropped about .5"
- front is fixed height no matter which perch u use.
- rear can be dropped another .75"
- ride is awesome. it's how the car should have come from the factory. you could put a 60 yr old in there and not complain about rough ride.
Damn 13" studded winter tires are killing me!!!! And saving me...
