Beagle Headlights on 89

Hi, I searched for a topic to address my question, but didn't find one so I will post here in hopes that someone can help me. I picked up some headlights and corner lights from a 95 Honda Civic Shuttle Beagle here in Japan and was wondering if they would work on my 89' Wagovan back in the states. I don't want to have to go through extensive customization to make them work, but I do love the single bulb and clear corner aspect of them. If anyone can let me know if the fitment is ok, or if I should just sell them, please let me know.

Arigatou!

I think so... but the way the corners mount to the fenders may be different... but easily remedied...
  • Headlights will fit but will point the wrong way, they are for RHD cars and you will not be able to aim them correctly. They will be constantly blinding oncoming traffic.

We have the same problem in NZ when people fit aftermarket rice lights designed for LHD cars

Easily remedied? You wouldn't happen to have a link to a tutorial on how to do this would you? I have a hard time finding the correct results using search when it pertains to the 95 Beagle stuff.

Hmm I wasn't aware that headlights point in a different direction for left and right hand drive cars. Although I do notice that oncoming traffic here in Japan seems to blind me more often than in the US, and my car is stock height. I think I can deal with blinding other drivers, as long as I can see, and my Wagon is pretty slammed so that might help with the positioning of the beam wouldn't you think?

No they wont blind you more in Japan, the headlights point a different way because the cars are on a different side of the the road. All headlights point slightly towards the outside of the road (passengers side of car, regardless of which side drive). If you put RHD headlights into a LHD car then they point towards the center of the road more.
You can adjust them but you run out of adjustment to get them right.

Its pretty selfish to say you dont mind blinding other drivers so long as you can see, what you gunna see? Somebody crashing off the road or into you because they were blinded by your headlights.

Also JDM headlights are shit, super shit. They take a H4H bulb and they suck. The plastic goes yellow in the sun and they look even worse.
What you want are some Glass headlights from a LHD EDM Civic, those are great (we get glass on NZDM(but RHD) and they are much better than the shithouse JDM ones)

And please dont say " I will just put HID in them" because thats even worse for oncoming traffic
  • Haha I was going to write yesterday that people wont give a rats ass to what they do to other drivers as long as they can say they got some jdm part on their car. Guess I was right.
