Mitts RT4WD

So everybody i have had my wagon for awhile now, since last summer to be exact and have been making a parts pile and getting it ready over winter. Just have been too damn lazy to actually make a build thread :|. A little about my self, i have had a 90 EF hatch, a 91 EF hatch(d16z6) and a another 91 EF hatch (B20) my current cars are a 2000 civic si for winter and my beautiful red RT4WD for summer! I'm 18 and work at a honda dealership :encouragement:
You all are likely familiar with my wagon as it belonged to "lecoq" before me i picked it up off him for $4800!!! (praise the lord it ended up in the hands of an enthusiast) I'd been hunting for a long time for a wagon and feel so lucky to have found one this pristine.. it's nearly impossible to find these bad boys in canada!

SO here she is as i got her!!

the wilwoods and tein's!

It has recaros too, i just don't have a photo for some reason....

and if anyone cares, my winter beater! 130,000 k 2000 si! sat on the lot for 3 years with 2 smashed windows and diesel in the tank! nursed her back to health! lol at my winter beater being 9 years newer and having less k than my summer car.. OLD SKOOL OR DIE.

So i'm sure you all are wondering what the future of this baby is, well i'll start out with what i have in my parts pile and then give you the gameplan

Parts Pile:
Nardi Classic 360 wheel
Nardi Prestige line knob
Nrg quick release
nrg short hub
PWJDM 4" shift extension
PWJDM EF fender markers
PWJDM exhaust bolts (silver)
PWJDM valve cover washers (silver)
PWJDM fender washers (silver)
JVC arsenal deck w/bluetooth
HID kit with 6000 k's
A complete D16Z6
comp 59300 cam
comp springs
AEM tru time cam gear
Skunk 2 pro series IM
yakima roof rack
weksos crx lip (same one bisi has on the wago)
Rywire OBD0-OBD1 jumper harness

probably forgetting something, but you guys get the gist of it, i have a lot of parts lying around.

So my plan for this sumer is to repaint it, new wheels, get the motor running good and reliable( i rebuilt the head and replaced coolant hoses), install all my little goodies and get it show ready! im invited to three events with a local performance shop and i've got my work cut out for me!

The long term plan is to build my d16z6 and drop it in next winter!

heres a photo of the rebuilt a6, I re lapped the valves and everything :)

so thats my introduction to you guys! looking forward to hearing your feedback!

by the way i have a lot more stuff to update you guys on!!! i just have to get out to the garage and get some work done on her! ill post later and update you further, lots more to come.

Cheers,

Mitts

they are awesome! a little over the top for the stock d16a6 but still a lot of fun.. unfortunately i haven't even driven the wagon much, drove it home when i bought it and its sat it the garage being worked on since! can't wait to give it a work out.

mid tear down, it was all worth it it though!

    2.jpg

The previous owner put the plasti-dip on waaaayyy too thin, i worked my fingers raw getting it all off. I recruited the help of Goo-gone to help me out, sped things right along.

if you ever want to dip your car, PUT IT ON THICK... unless you wanna go through hell when you inevitably decide to remove it.
  • Wow looks great. Keep up the great work Mitts

Hey Mitts, I just subscribed to your thread. I'll hopefully be starting one myself soon. Looks like you are off to a great start on an already nice car. Are you gonna change the color, or stick with red?

also installed spc rear lca's, uca's and toe links and brought the rear back into spec, negative camber on oem wheels looks horrid in my opinion.. ride is way stiffer and more responsive now too :)

and i took a page out of simplyhonda's book and highlighted the "4wd" on the rear mud flaps, i used a touch up pen from a 2013 accord though, worked well!
