Thanks for the xmas teasers and pics. Shes looking good! Nice fitment of the hood around the ITB....fancy mirrors too.:smug: In for more pics and updates...Keep it up! :encouragement:
Work has slowed somewhat due to us being in the middle of the race season. We have been working away on a number of areas but the most visible is our aero mods to accommodate the ITBs and filter plus our development of reducing undercar pressure. Nothing ventured nothing gained!! We need to keep the air filter cover to keep the MSNZ tech officers happy but don't want to obscure any more of the drivers vision than absolutely necessary.
The new underfloor tank mounts are in and we are working on the internal exhaust routing and the rear diffuser design.
Things have settled down a little on the work front so time to get back into the Skuttle.
Decided to get the exhaust finished off. Sound levels don’t seem to be such an issue as they have been in the past but we decided it’s easier to design a compliant system . as opposed to modify it later. We have decided to go with two Flowmasters, and due to space limitations have mounted the small one at the end of the header and the larger 40 series at the end. As we have decided to run 2 fuel tanks in the rear, the tunnel is non-existent so we need to run a side exit. To keep the weight in the right place it needed to exit on the left which means tucking the 40 series muffler up under the floor behind the passenger’s side. As we want to be able to run a passenger’s seat it was an even tighter fit. We also decided to run an aggressive STV8 exhaust outlet.
Fucking nice work! I've been waiting for updates on this one. Did you enlarge the exhaust tunnel? I'd also like to see pics of the little muffler on the header.
Edit: oh duh, I can actually see it.
I'm thinking of doing a similar exhaust tunnel enlargement and trying to tuck my exhaust up over my control arm. 3" piping and a 4wd wagon means I have very little clearance, lol.

Yes, we have been busy and the "real" work has to come first... but we have still been making progress on the Skuttle a few teaser shots!!
Al and the team.

Big exhaust outlet!!
After much cutting and welding it all fitted!
So another small job done!

I'm going to run your rear disc idea by my brother...
