New guy in the PNW

Hello everyone! The names Nathan. I have been browsing through the forum for a couple weeks now and finally decided it would be a good idea to join. I picked up a 1991 FWD wagon about a week ago and I have already fallen in love with it! I have only owned domestic vehicles, but the wagons always sparked my attention. I finally decided to pick one up. The car is basically all stock, so it gives me a good platform to work around with my plans I have for it. I am still doing a lot of reading about just how interchangeable Honda's are. Hopefully I will get to meet some of you here on the forum!

  • Welcome!! Does your wagon have a cherry bomb as a muffler?
  • Welcome man. You're aways up north or I would have invited you to the Portland OR meet. I mean, you can still come if you want, haha. You have a less common color for Fwd Wagons that only came in 91 I believe. Just letting you know.
  • Welcome to the forum. Looks good. Any first plans, post up more picture more pictures.
  • Welcome Nathan. I am new as well and semi near you. I like the idea of a Seattle meet you proposed on another thread. Are you going to the XXX meet in Issaquah?

Naw, it is the stock muffler some previous owner rattle canned orange. they did a very good job spraying it too may I add *sarcasm*. the plan is an aftermarket header with 2.5" back to a borla muffler. I will probably start doing that after i get the d16z6 head all set and proper with MPFI.

Thats good to know! I am going to re-spray it with the original color. I don't like spraying vehicles a different color than from the factory. I really like the brown too.

I had to pull out the pedal assembly and weld it all up nice and proper. the previous owner rigged the assembly up with some epoxy and bailing wire haha. I am kicking myself for not taking any pictures. I am currently throwing on a d16z6 head to the d15b block that is in there now along with some new pistons and such. It burns oil like no other. I should be around a 11.1 compression. :) I'll start posting photos of the build so I can keep you all up to date!

If it is all together by the time the meet comes around then you bet I'm going! I'd like to meet some wagon owners!
  • 2.5 inch is a little overkill for almost any N/A Honda. 2" in perfect, no larger than 2 1/4". You'll see a tiny tiny top end gain with 2 1/4" but the bottom end and midrange will suffer. I wish I would have just done 2".

Alright, I think i will just go with 2 inch then. I don't really know a whole lot about honda's yet. So far I just have some coils on it. I am piecing together a mini me build for it now.
