The Shuttle is currently away for for bodywork, I'm hoping to get it back next week so I can start stripping it down for paint.
in the meanwhile I got bored and started searching for some parts,
I'm searching for some EDM parts for a trade with another forum member his USDM parts and 2 days ago I came accross one of my favorite steering wheels ever for a great price so I had to buy it:
    Nardi Torino Classico:

Got the Shuttle back from the bodyworker today, started with rust-protection right away.

Car does need some more welding on another spot so he will return to the bodyworker on monday to take the rough edges off.
Was a bit of a disappointment but I just want the Shuttle to be good so I guess its worth the wait.

I hope next update is going to be better!

The car is ready for paint, gonna set an appointment tonight.

I'm receiving a "power package" today (windows, door cards, mirrors).
Hope they are complete so I can start installing them when the Shuttle gets back from paint.

Really can't wait to put my Wagon back together again for some sunny day and late night cruises!

So while the car is being painted I cleaned my interior.
    Before:

    After:

    All stains came out perfectly.
Also cleaned the liner and some plastic parts.

Instead of ripping all stuff apart things start to look pretty now!
  • man, that looks so clean. Can't wait to see your wagon get painted!

looks good man... i just want a white one !
  • VladiVladi Senior Wagonist
Thanks! Car will probably be back short after next weekend, then the 3/4 weeks rebuilding starts.

It won't be white for long, decided to go with another more uncommon (for Europe) OEM color.
  • Looking good! you wouldn't happen to be Vladi from Achaea who does programming for Mudlet would you?
  • Great progress! I was just in the Netherlands not too long ago. In Frankfurt, Germany right now but am headed back to the states tomorrow. I will keep an eye out for some usdm wagon goodies for you. What did you use to clean your interior? I oxycleaned my ak shuttles interior but I took the skins off which I don't want to ever do again, it was a pain in the ass! Can't wait to see more updates!

Nope I'm not, Vladi is a nickname friends gave me because they think I look Russian.

Cool, what part of the Netherlands have you visited?

I used an Extractor (I think thats the english word, it's a vacuum cleaner that sprays water in and sucks water and dirt out) and carpet cleaner, came out good, but after close inspection I think it could be better with a more heavy duty carpet cleaner.

I'll update in a few days, making big steps now.
Car is painted and interior is 50% done!

Was going to post some pics, but all of them are blurry and f"ed up.

Looks very nice. Love the color you chose to paint the car and Nardi wheel too. Btw do you have the paint code for the color you painted your car because I'm loving it. I'm in for some more pics!

It's OEM NH-537m, but It's impossible to compare this to the NH-537m that has been on a car for 20 years, it looks so much fresher and deeper. Depending on the sunlight/shadows it gives a grey-blue/grey-brown shine.
It really looks so much better in real life than on pictures.

when do you get your glass installed? been driving around with out a windshield? I dont blame you- wagon looks incredible!
  • VladiVladi Senior Wagonist
The glass is coming back in tomorrow. I've only been driving around the warehouse where I have my "garage".
Still need the registration papers back still after the color change, and I want new licenseplates because my old ones are ugly and battered so I'm trying to keep it off the roads until I'm legal and mint.

I got a company car for daily use, a Peugeot 207 so it's not a big problem to let it sit in the garage for a while..
  • SPWSPW Senior Wagonist
Man still can't get over that paint! Perfect selection of wheels. Wagon is sick.
  • OMG Peugeot
  • VladiVladi Senior Wagonist
Tbh the Peugeot sucks, crappiest gearbox ever made and a about 60mph it makes roadnoise for 4 V8 Ford's.
