Comments
in the meanwhile I got bored and started searching for some parts,
I'm searching for some EDM parts for a trade with another forum member his USDM parts and 2 days ago I came accross one of my favorite steering wheels ever for a great price so I had to buy it:
Nardi Torino Classico:
still in for trades if you are... just let me know when you're ready...
Wish I was! I bet they have a better climate than us.
Thanks!
Will do man!
Coming saturday I'll have all the bits together and I'll make some pictures for you.
Got the Shuttle back from the bodyworker today, started with rust-protection right away.
Car does need some more welding on another spot so he will return to the bodyworker on monday to take the rough edges off.
Was a bit of a disappointment but I just want the Shuttle to be good so I guess its worth the wait.
I hope next update is going to be better!
The car is ready for paint, gonna set an appointment tonight.
I'm receiving a "power package" today (windows, door cards, mirrors).
Hope they are complete so I can start installing them when the Shuttle gets back from paint.
Really can't wait to put my Wagon back together again for some sunny day and late night cruises!
Before:
After:
All stains came out perfectly.
Also cleaned the liner and some plastic parts.
Instead of ripping all stuff apart things start to look pretty now!
It won't be white for long, decided to go with another more uncommon (for Europe) OEM color.
Cool, what part of the Netherlands have you visited?
I used an Extractor (I think thats the english word, it's a vacuum cleaner that sprays water in and sucks water and dirt out) and carpet cleaner, came out good, but after close inspection I think it could be better with a more heavy duty carpet cleaner.
I'll update in a few days, making big steps now.
Car is painted and interior is 50% done!
Ill try to make some quality pics this weekend.
This is where we're at now,
Power windows and power mirrors installed
Interior is back in the car
Got the bumpers back on, I'm now waiting for some Dealer stuff to finish the car off.
And then;
Coilovers and wheels, f*ck yeah
so beautiful, love the color!
It's OEM NH-537m, but It's impossible to compare this to the NH-537m that has been on a car for 20 years, it looks so much fresher and deeper. Depending on the sunlight/shadows it gives a grey-blue/grey-brown shine.
It really looks so much better in real life than on pictures.
Thanks man, I'll try to get a moment to send out your stuff this week!
Thanks, it's really cool seeing it improve day by day but I can't wait to finish it!
First send some Shuttle-stuff off to the USA
Then left to get some parts to complete my wagon(for now)
All whats left to do now is install new windscreen, slam it to maximum awesomeness and cruise!
Just so you guys know!
Still need the registration papers back still after the color change, and I want new licenseplates because my old ones are ugly and battered so I'm trying to keep it off the roads until I'm legal and mint.
I got a company car for daily use, a Peugeot 207 so it's not a big problem to let it sit in the garage for a while..
