Tire size suggestions

So I was going to pick up some new wheels in the next week or two and they're going to be 16x8.5.

I've looked around and something like 205/40 seems to be common, but I was wondering what would be the best tire and tire size?

Any advice is appreciated!

Depends what the offset of the wheels is
  • 0 offset. XXR 527's.

I have a 91 wagon slammed on function forms version 2's with kosei k1 16x7.5 I am running a b18b with a 91 cable trans. I have 205/40r16 and I DD my car and I wish I went with a 205/45. The tires have a little stretch to them but to be honest my gas milage has suffered greatly and they look a little bit on the small side. If you really want to hammer your car and drive really low they are great but for me they were a little to small I would recomend a 205/45 or a 195/45 I will try and find a pic of them real quick.410881_456666254360870_950168075_o.jpg

Those wheels are going to be far too low offset to run without massivly stretched tyres and heaps of camber. Im not going to recommoned any tyres because the ones you need are outside of the manafacturers spec for your wheel width

i have 16x8.5 Koseo K1s et 25 and 15, front and rear respectively and i run 225/40 tires. still stretched but provide perfect daily driving comfort. with 0 offset though, idk man.. haha. you'll need some serious fender rolling and/or negative camber.

even with 15 offset, i still need to run with about 4° camber in the rear. front is about 0.5°

not the best pictures, but you get the idea..

  • I'm already running 15x8 with a +12 offset. I didn't think it would make too much of a difference. So I assume the recommendation is to not run 0 offset on such a wide wheel? Although, I was planning to get the fenders rolled sometime soon. Potentially when I got new shoes, but I just wanted some advice and opinions before I spent the money.
