Band Wagon
Hey everyone, I have a question, and I am sure there is more than one answer.
I have a 91 rt wagon, has the a6 as usual. But it has a noise in the bottom that is
there on cold start (under 32 degrees F). No worries, I have a z6 to put in, will do
pistons, brgs, etc beforehand. Now the question, I put the clutch in it from the bottom.
Did not pull the engine out, had no problems. Has anyone pulled the engine out from
the top, without the tranny? If not, did you try taking the crank pulley off to get it out?
I just dont want to pull all that crap back out, I have pulled other civic engines and
trannies out without the other parts hooked to them. I just cant believe that it has
to come out in one piece.
Thanks for the help!

Tell me I cant do it, or something. I figured someone would at
least tell me to search somewhere and put me on the right track
however i just take everything out because it seems easier (to me). i dont have an engine hoist so i pull the motor and tranny out from the front of the car. naturally i have the radiator and T-bar and bumper all removed too. makes the job easy, i can take the whole thing out without power tools or a hoist in about 4-6 hours.
I thought we had it in the links. But apparently not.
Are you still running a power steering pump?
Thank you!
Wago, I got a cherrypicker, worst case I'll take it to work, and use the lift.
Charb, I will do some more looking around, some of the links weren't working,
maybe on my end.
Lowflyin, I'm driving the car this winter, love the 4wd and drifting around in the snow,
I hope to retain the p/s, it does work very well and does not leak , at least not much
