Band Wagon
I discovered your forum here and wanted to report the pending acquisition of a 1987 Civic Wagon 2WD, 5 speed with 133k miles showing.
This is an amazing find, as it was brought to SoCal recently from New Mexico by the original owner. The car was donated to a charity auction and the guys I am buying the car from put in a new clutch, new windshield, tune-up and will be getting a new cat converter tomorrow so it can hopefully pass smog. It was high on HC and NOX when it failed. Could be plugged EGR or leaking carburetor, too, I guess. I wonder if it was calibrated for altitudes, too? Was there such a thing? If it doesn't pass smog, I guess I won't buy it, but this thing is amazingly clean and original. NO rust, No dents, all stock blue interior (white car), great tires and drives fine. They put in a new stereo and the car comes with the window sticker, manuals and there was a set of snow tire chains in the tray over the spare tire. Oh, the spare spacesaver tire was never used and I don't think the jack was ever moved from the well. It is just TOOO Cute! I have a few photos but guess I have to post them somewhere else on your site...?
I mostly do vintage Honda motorcycles and have a 1961 CB77 #176 as my "rider" bike, along with a 1989 NT650 Hawk GT.
