Fuel line flush???

As I was changing my fuel pump in my wagon I happened to glance into my gas tank and saw a shit ton of pine needles and small twigs... Yes that is what I saw. Don't know how and don't want to know why.

So I cleaned it out as much as I could (without dropping the tank yet)

Now my question is how can you clean out the fuel lines? I feel like there is a lot of dirt/pine pitch in the fuel line still. Is there any special chemical/fluid I can use to flush it out?

I was thinking I can disconnect the line on both sides fill up the line with something and blow it out with an air hose? Or is there a better way to go about this situation.

If it has that much junk in it.I'd drop the tank & totally flush it.How'd all that get in there in the first place?Should'nt need to flush line. The in tank fuel pump has a filter.Change the under hood fuel filter on firewall. Then in a year r&r the filter again.Cut the filter open to see if any junks in there. You could go ahead & drive it till the in-tank filter clogs & stopps running to drop the tank.If you did clean enough of the needles out it'll probably run for a while.
  • I got the wagon from a kid that said it just randomly started to bog out on him and it ran perfectly fine before that happened. He had no idea what would of caused the bog. Well I figured out why haha.
I honestly think someone did not like him and put it in there OR someone before him replaced it and it sat or something. I'm confused on why also.

I was planning on just throwing in the new fuel pump and change the fuel filter for now. Hopefully it won't clogged up within a couple weeks. I really have no time to do anything major right now but I will eventually drop the tank and do a full clean in it.
