Proper torque specs for New Master Cylinder '90 AWD Wagon

I am going to install a new MS and Booster this weekend and I have looked all over the place for the proper torque specs. If it is indeed here somewhere, my search fu is in need of shock therapy. I have heard a rumor that 12 ft lbs is the number. Is this correct?

Thanks!
Tom

    Torque specs?

We don' need no steenking torque specs!!

Seriously, I've never torqued a master cylinder or booster, and I've installed a couple of truckloads of them. Just tighten securely with a normal 3/8" drive ratchet.

Is there torque specs? I was worried I was doing it wrong when someone asked for torque specs.... I have never torqued them down before... Just tighten them nice and snug.

Thanks everyone. I just installed the booster and MC. Seems to work great...except..the brake lights are always on now. I suspect it is some sort of switch somewhere. Now to find it.

the brake light switch is actuated by the pedal arm. Just follow the arm a little above where you installed the booster clevis pin, can't miss it. Usually the problem is that the little blue 'stopper' has deteriorated and fallen out.

Yep, bam is probably right. Very common.
Replace with a bolt and nut. It'll last forever.
