I had that same floor pan hole in my 3rd gen..dont drive in the snow/slush..your car will become a huge cheese gradder and next thing you know your backseat will be full of snow..haha
Yeah man! The third color choice looks exactly like mine minus the CIVIC logo, It still confuses me that my interior came out of a LHD wagon though. The plaid wasn't ever a USDM option, maybe it was EDM as well.
Having some issues getting the wagon to start, got a new starter and we are still having the same issue with it. Thinking that some wiring may have gone astray somewhere in the process of the tuck. As of now were just taking it one issue at a time. If no other problems surface I will just need a full exhaust and most likely some new axels for her to be driven; but as of now we are just trouble shooting to figure out what the deal is with the starter.
Update, I had an engineer from MOTEC come and check my work last week.. He signed off on the tucked harness, calling it legit. The problem has been narrowed, it's the flywheel's relationship to the starter. For some reason the 2 are misaligned or simply incorrect. The engine will come out next week to confirm my suspicion... Or at least double check clutch/ flywheel part numbers. I'll report back as soon as there is some headway..

That was like reading Spanish to me.... Could you just get this fucker on the road already????
:grey: I know man, at this point I think that is what we are all thinking. It was my first time swapping a clutch so I could have missed something in the process. I hope its not anything else though, baby steps!
That's awesome man, AK shuttles don't get as much attention as their older brothers which I hate! Obviously for some people it's because you can't SLAM THA SHIT out of the 4WD AK's. But that's not what it's all about to some. now to answer your question, maybe chaife wants to chime in as well..
1)As far as interior options for the push start 4WD 85-86 in the US there was only my original maroon and light blue, as for the FWD civics I am not too sure. I have heard and seen pictures of seat patterns that I never even thought existed.. Like the plaid I have in my interior now; which I think could be a EDM or CDM interior option. I know for a fact there are at least 4 FWD interior colors in the US. But from 84,85 to 86,87 they switched up the interior patterns and there is little to no information on them.
2)That is correct, almost all of the parts are NOT interchangeable except for blinker lenses. Although I'm sure that some things are a very close fit but not perfect.
3):P I don't have all the answers.
Are you planning to start a build log for your new wagon? I'd like to see pictures, the third gens are such cool cars.
Yeah I will when I have a few spare minutes at home. I picked it up from a local friend and member here on the forum. I have always wanted a third gen but never took the plunge until Steve gave me to opportunity. I missed having a lowered car. Now I have Jane, my lifted beast, and now a wagon that is unnamed.
Much respect for what you have completed so far. I'll get a build going in the next day or two.
Picked up a valve cover and front lip off a 1986 EA-T SI on Sunday. Really wanted to grab the fuel injected bits but I still have a ways to go before I even consider swapping it. Although my friend did give me an 86 SI ecu so that's one thing I don't have to look for when the time comes. Hopefully going to drop the motor again within the next few weeks.
I wanna touch on that bit about the interior velour selection that the 3rd Gens. had available. We really should start a thread on this, as there are likely more velour patterns used than we know. However, to answer your question. I think there were only the 3 color options available in the US from 84-87. Blue, burgundy, and brown/ caramel. EDM & JDM includes grey. The part that I find interesting is the sheer number of different upholstery's that it seems Honda loosely threw at these 3rd Gen. station wagons. It's almost as if they just walked to the back room full of old fabrics and just selected at random... Maybe they were left over velours (almost like scraps)... Maybe they took a walk to the local fabric store and picked what they liked.. All I know is that I have never seen the same velour pattern twice on a 3rd Gen. Civic Wagon 1984-1987 (USDM)... How many velours are there? we need to document in a new thread with pictures I think, just to get an idea.

Ended up dropping the motor out to put an end to our starter/flywheel problems. Discovered that I ended up getting the wrong flywheel from autozone when I purchased it back in 2012, it is possible that this is from a FWD wagon or some other EW motor. Hopefully this will help ease the process a bit from here on out, the next few days will really determine that though.
-"They made an AWD Civic?" God Damn Autozone idiots!!! lol :encouragement: Just glad we found it. AND we didn't scratch any paint during all this action... Shoutz out! Today was fun.

1) What color options came in the third gen for interior? USDM / EDM / JDM? All I come across is blue and the red/burgundy that you've used here.
2) Is the third gen wagon just like the fourth gen in assuming civic hatch/sedan interior parts are NOT interchangeable?
3) Why is your third gen so fucking sexy?

Yep. Didn't need another 4WD....besides, 2WD is way easier to swap a B into once this little D goes.
Sweet, can't wait to see some pictures!
