Hoping to be a new proud Wagon owner

Hey everyone I am a 20 year old, and I have a passion for cars, and espicially Hondas, as most of you probably do as well. I am located in Canada, Ontario. So a bit about my car history, and my one day dream.

I have always loved Honda's, and I have owned one since the age of 16. I have owned 4 Honda's throughout my life time, but I have never fully done a build on a car. I have always dreamed of doing one. When I was 16 bought my very first car. It was a 1993 Civic si, than I traded it for a stock 1995 civic si. I honestly outgrew my first car within a year. When I traded it I was happy and never wanted to have molded body kit or even an body kit on my car ever again. After I decided to sell the my new civic and buy myself a stock del sol. It was just painted and came with a black tinted tail lights, and a spunky monkey sticker lol. I drove this car for spring and summer, and I really loved the car, but I honestly could not stand the 2 seats. It was a great car to look at and drive, but not something for daily driving. I don't think I will ever own a 2 seater car again. My girlfriend even preferred my previous civics over the Del Sol. I eventually decided to trade the car for a 99ek with lots of mods plus cash and a sound system. And here I am now with money just ready to be spent on a Wagon. I have always loved the ef's, but a friend of mine introduced me to the civic wagons. I instantly fell in love with a new Honda I could see myself owning for many years to come. They are unique they stand out, and they have tons of room. I one day plan on having a family, and I could see myself driving around with my wife and kids on a lowered wagon:encouragement: Anyways now for pics of my previous cars.

Now for the wagon I really hope to get...
I am going this thursday to see the wagon I have had my eye on for a while now. I am very determined to find myself a wagon... The one I am going to see is located 2 1/2 away from me which I will be taking a train. I got as much details of the car as I could. He says the car has no rust except surface rust along the roof right above the trim of the window very little though and in between the doors. http://belleville.kijiji.ca/c-ViewAdLargeImage?AdId=428391371 This is the link to the wagon I will be taking the train to see. I am very excited to hopefully be the proud owner of this car. I just wanted to know what everyones opionions are about it, and maybe things I should look out for when checking it out. He said the lowest he will go is 1800 which I think is a steal if the car is in great shape. I have not ever seen one civic wagon in my area, and I live in the city...

Only problems with the car he has told me is crack in passenger windshield, drivers side back passenger door handle does not work and is stuck in lock, and the other things listed in the ad.

If I buy this car my very first mod will be to buy a hood bra, and paint all the trims around the car back to stock black:smug:

Anyways this was a long one, and any opinions and ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading. I really hope to start a build thread soon!

  • Finally got my wagon a couple weeks back. Had to have it towed because it would not start. I have pulled the engine out, and am looking to buy a new one.

  • Welcome to the forum! You figure out why it didnt start or just pull the motor?
  • wow, really not a fan of the painted trim and bumpers. Not sure if you're into it, but damn, get that fixed, hehe

either way, welcome to the club, looks like a fairly clean start and at least you know it'll be reliable once you get the motor swapped. I'll be doing my first swap in the spring time with a SOHC ZC I picked up yesterday.

Didn't realize that. Does not look right. Even the lip is white. Egh!
  • Welcome.

Agreed fix them trims up, or it will look like a Civic Pro, and no-one wants that :)
  • I conquer! ( paint trim) I hope your not into that look Yuck! Amway welcome

The previous owner had a turbo on the car and blew the motor. I never really looked into the internals though. I am just selling the motor to get some money back for a new engine. Maybe B20 or B18B out of integra. I am already set up for b series.

I am defiantly not into that look either. I will be painting the car back to stock. It has no moldings though :( I am looking to buy some moldings really soon, but the holes for the clips have been filled in... How hard will it be to make new holes. I also may try look into how much for a body shop to do it. I don't want to mess it up.

Well, looking at how they did the rest of the car I'd say they bondo'd the holes, lol. Pop off your door cars and see if it is. Don't take it to a body shop if its bondo. They will be charging you money to whack some bondo out of your doors. Pick up a da sander though!
