Connecting Pipe Help

I've tried searching but with no success. I'm hoping some of the mechanics on here can assist with this one.

I have a leak where the thermostat housing and the connecting pipe is located. Its' that pipe that runs on the back side of the motor connecting the thermostat and water pump?

I was wondering how easy it would be to replace o-ring and if I can do this without having to remove the block?

Any assistance is welcome.

Thanks,
Chuck

Yes, it's easy. Just remove the thermostat housing and pull the tube out.

Note : I've seen a few of those steel tubes rusted away at the ends, especially in warm climates where people may run straight water with no antifreeze(corrosion protection). You may want to source a spare tube before you tear it down, if it's your only ride.
  • excellent point Bam. Much apprecaited!
