Your build is awesome and always entertaining .But I have a kind of boring question for you .How has the automatic transmission held up ? We have a 91 FWD auto wagon and that is something I wonder about .It seems like a strong unit but how long do they last ?

I don't know how long an Automatic Transmission last?, I suppose it depends on how you drive them? I planning on it lasting forever. lols.

My Auto has 209k on the clock. Still going strong! Don't worry til' it breaks, then fix it and keep rolling!
Not much is new. Just took a trip with the wife up to Edwards, or Avon, or Beaver Creek- what ever the area is called? We went up to the Vail territory. Stayed at a really secluded, quiet resort called Cordillera?
Arrived Sunday afternoon and woke up to snow this morning.
Sunday Afternoon.
This morning.
We made a late departure.
Took an exit near the Vail Summit? And drove up this random road that winds up some mountain. I'm not entirely sure where the road ends or what its intended purpose is?
Nice Pics Bill! We just got snow today, I am excite
thanks dude!
ELEMENT UPDATE:
After adding OEM snowboard attachments to OEM Honda roof rack- I experienced a ton of wind noise... Sifted through some threads on EOC- I finally found a really great thread about some brand I've never heard of, "Inno", maybe the only wind fairing out there that mounts to OEM bars???
Works well. (Still a dash of wind noise [I don't think you can get rid of it a 100%, afterall there is a bunch of stuff on the roof] but a significant improvement).
Inno makes some good stuff. I have their locking paddleboard/kayak setup. I borrowed a friend's rack for last year's Keys trip, and liked it enough that I went and bought my own.
Wind noise is just a fact of life with roof racks, you can only mitigate it. Or just be old and deaf like me!
I eliminate wind noise, by reaching over to the stereo and turning up the volume. Works really well for wind noise and is also effective with dash chatter and vibrations caused by hybrid urethane swap mounts. :encouragement:
That fairing is a blank canvas screaming for custom vinyl! Get at me when you want to express your artistic design.
I have just assigned wind noise to the same frequency range as my wife's voice, and can disregard it at will. Door chimes and sealbelt nannies fall into the same category. I've just tuned them out.
...now you know why us geezers drive for miles with the left signal on. If we admitted to being aware of that annoying trifle, then how could we tell our wives we really are deaf?
PS: Bill, don't let your wife see this. Secret man stuff.

Yeah, Inno it seems like quality stuff... I mean it should be- shit is expensive.

Lols the stereo only does so much... It was pretty bad. Im not sure what to do with the fairing design- I will think about it! I want something simple. I dunno... Im also really into old crv graphics... like 1990's turnt up!

bwahhahhahah... I can disregard a lot of noises, but the wind noise was driving me insane. I do a lot of phone calling on my commute to work everyday and with the whistling in my ear I had to do something.
This may be a long shot and possibly too much work for too little gain but do you think taking off the head loner and possibly the upper plastics and spraying a sound deadening would help out? I know lizard skin has a product like that.

^that seems like a ton of work. If I were to do that I would probably/maybe use the sound deadening stuff they use for audio installs?
lil Update.
Got an SC spoiler (for the Element) for Christmas. It was CBP. I thought about putting it on & just leaving it black- the trim up top is black so it might not look bad. But there is some red from underneath the spoiler on the hatch that will peak through and that would drive me insane. Not to mention; Im not 16 years old anymore- stop doing ghetto shit... SO I just paid the man... Got it back from paint yesterday.

hope to install this weekend.
And here are some pix of the wagon from yesterdays #wagonwednesday
Awesome looking spoiler and I dig the dog bone design on the rubber mats!
Lols me too! The element came in a whole pet friendly situation. I would like to collect all the pet friendly items- but mostly i want the Kennel that fits in the back.
Got new wheels, thanks in huge part to Shae (Shenrie). Found them on CL in Boise. Was hunting for these specific wheels. They are the perfect size in my opinion, not to mention gorgeous.
Lots of curb rash, not gonna lie. Not sure what to do about that? ignore? lightly sand and have powder coated? I dunno- they don't have to be perfect- that was supposed to be the whole purpose of the Element- daily drive and beat up on it.... Anyways. I may just leave the curb rash and get over it? but its really hard for me to do that.
Anyways- Finally got around to giving them a good scrubbing the other night...
Comments

Opened my wallet and closed my eyes.

WINTER IS COMING!
Not really... neat place for photos though!
Winter came today.
curbed my rear rim. Got a little excited pulling out on to the ice rink... slid sideways into the curb across the street. :nightmare:
