ignition on with key in off position

So I got out to my wagon this morning and the dash lights were on even though my keys were in my pocket. It killed my battery, so I replaced it real quick with one out of my crx and drove it around with no problems. Went to park it, turned it off, key out and the dash lights stayed on as if you were to get in and turn your key to the on position, any thoughts?

    Ignition switch (contacts within).

    So I just replaced the ignition switch with a known good one and its still doing it, completly unplugged the switch, still does it, need help!!

    My stereo lights stay on sometimes when I shut her down. Probably have a short somewhere, I know I do I'm just lazy.

    Do the parking lights stay on as well? That might indication a bad headlight switch.

    No none of the lights stay on

    I would pull the parking light fuse and see if that keeps the interior lights from coming on in the same fashion (I think that's the fuse that supplies power to the interior lights). I think 503Wagon is right though, sounds like a short somewhere. If they dont come on after pulling the fuse, then at least the short is all in that circuit, otherwise, there might be some funky wiring in there somewhere.

    Think I found the problem, had water leaking under my windshield and onto my fuses, think it fried the box?

    Fried the box, probably not, causing a short, probably. Fix the leak and let the box dry out, should go away.
