Grease Fittings?

Hi,
New here, thanks for allowing me a few questions.
My '90 4WD wagon is starting to squeak a little underneath, I was wondering if anyone had any experience or suggestions on where to add grease zerks to replace the 15 year old grease... if it's possible or advisable.
Thanks,
Jay in New Jersey

  Holy Molly :!: That N.Y.C. cat size RAT u ran over is still down there squeakling  Being on the east coast it's probably the CAT (not the rat) and or exhaust shield has rusted loose & is scrapping something.Welcome to the club.

 I'd also recommend changing the tranny oil with Honda MTL.It's Cheap insurance. It's most likely never been changed & the 4WD are not that reliable. Read my SiWagon Tips located in other sections for mo tips.

    Hi, Thanks for the reply!
Nope, I'm South Jersey, at the shore... Woods, actually... got the mice out afore winter even set ee-in! :? (Bees, too... dang buzzin!) :D
Totally correct on both assessments, the exaust sheild still rattles, even after an 'almost' complete system replacement. Might be the trans oil, although I've had the right side cv joint replaced just recently, and wouldn't the fluid be replaced, then?
I haven't done much with this car, as it was my mother's, now it's my wife's, and for the little that it's needed I've just had the work done.
I do my own on my Chevy truck, Firebird, Cutlass and Benz, so I have a clue, I just haven't done much with this car.
It just seems that it ought to be "re-greased" every now and then, wouldn't you think? Just for 'wear' issues?
    Thanks,

Hmm, as crazy as it sounds I don't think I know of any grease gun fitted areas under the front end, as far as the back goes I am not sure.

To my knowledge the ball joints and the tie rods should be sealed for life.

CV joints has it's own grease.Trans oil is seperate.Trans oil change is just a little preventive maintence.

 :? Akiraboy is right. Most of the rubber bushings need to be silcone greased though. There is a way to Grease the 4 ball joints. They are factory sealed.I used a ball joint puller to seperate the ball joints.Igot plastic syringes from the hobby or boat supply store.Filled it with Moly grease.Inserted it between the seal & stud.Don't puncture the rubber seal.Inject the grease. When u reattach the Ball joint some of the grease may squeeze out.I figure it's never been done and I won't need to do it for another 1OO,OOO miles.

    Absolutely!

I recently had my front shocks replaced (but will be replacing the rear ones myself now that I know how - thx to this board - and bought my very own spring compression tool) and the right-hand side bushings are now singin!!!

Thx for describing the technique needed to grease the bushings. I will definitely be following your advice!
