guard mirrors

So I have an 86 civic wagon and I want to put guard.mirrors on it, has anyone done this? Also do people think that 1986 is too "new" for the old school look?
Thoughts and opinions people!

    I was contemplating it with my Civic, but decided against it.

    I got a 83' Starlet that did have fender mirrors on it, but I took them off.

    Looked alot better without them.

    It was a factory option for Shuttle Pro until 1995 so I wouldnt worry about not your car not being old enough
