Got it today drove 3 hours to get it. Will get better pics soon! First additions are a Yakima rack with bike trays and new exhaust cause it was rusted and fell off on the way home. Can't decide if I wanna tint the windows or not. Kinda like the way it looks right now. Roof will eventually get sprayed back to original color and the wheels will get swapped for something different.

    Washed it today! Haven't had any time to start working on it since I'm working 6 ten hour days at the plant. I'll keep everyone posted on updates to the wagon. Going to pick up a Yakima roof rack Friday and get a new exhaust at a buddies shop.

    I seen this one running around the Omaha area about 2 years ago I think he was a member on nestreetscene. I never liked the roof tho. He had it posted up here for sale a while ago

    Yeah, roof is going to change here shortly. Originally it was a Iowa wagon. Sold to the guy in Omaha and then me so back to Iowa! Has some bugs to fix, I'm having trouble with the turn signal shorting out when I signal left. Rear bumper needs tucked back up, the suspension needs fixed badly, definitely need to strip the wheels or find different ones. Scored on the Yakima rack today! Picked up the rack 4 bike trays and the bar that strengthens the rack to accommodate more weight and the wind diffuser for only $150
    Also got the exaust fixed at my buddies shop. Sounds really good without being obnoxiously loud "im getting too old to listen to the pack of west Nile mesquito's flying down the road. Lol

    Test fitted the roof rack today after I got the clips. Works and looks great, got to take it back of though cause it goes fir paint and body this Friday.

    Where are you getting it done, what color and what was the agreed upon price/estimate? That is assuming you don't mind answering this kind of shit - I'm highly curious. BTW, I dig the color combo you've there. I think a rack like that is far superior to the OEM setup - especially considering how the OEM rails definitely splay some weight on the roof supports (as well as the pillars, but not as much as a rack like that).

    I have a friend about 30 minutes from me that does really good really affordable paint and body. He is fixing the roof all the dents scratches the hood and the little bit of cancer behind the left rear door. It's all getting painted the stock color. I think it's NH537M like pueter metallic gray. We agreed upon 500 I believe. Sounds to good to be true but this guy is super cool, he's young and he loves to do it so it's still fun for him. Therefore he doesn't charge a ton. He actually stitch welds in new metal, he doesn't pop rivet and Bondo. He hand color sands too which you don't see often anymore. I.love the rack BTW I've never owned a Yakima before and I gotta say I love it! I saved like a 1000 bux getting it off CL.

    Also went to the salvage yard and picked up a gas cap holder from a 91 Integra. Gotta pick up some 10lb 3M double sided tape to attach it. I'll post pics later.

    Random pic right before I dropped it off to get painted! Can't wait to see the outcome, the ugly purple top will be gone and the huge key mark on the hood the dents and the little cancer spot behind the left rear door!

    Next week I'll have the new wheels! Hopefully no snow between now and then!

    New shoes! Will work for now, they look better than the ugly fat fives and they were way to good of a deal to pass up, friend was selling them for $300 and they are brand spankin new never even mounted!

    Thanks! No the wheels came like that. They are just a hair darker but they look damn close to the stock color.

    The hood and roof is matched to my oem color. I think Arnold motor supply matched it.

    Custom plates came in today! It was pretty hilarious at the country treasurer. All the women there were like "we have been trying to figure out this plate all day!"

    Crappy late night pic with the cell phone screwing around. It was like 3am I just got off work and there is no parking after 2am so sure as shit the only cop that patrols the town at night pulled up and was asking stupid questions like have you been drinking Sir, what are you doing out so late, why are you parked like that? I said first of all I'm not drunk second of all you see me leave work every night around this time. Then I said I was just messing around taking a quick picture of my car for a forum I'm a member on. He chuckled and said... "they actually have a forum for these ugly little things" I laughed back and told him they have forums for your piece of shit old retired cop cars... He paused (looked alittle baffled) and said "you have a good night Sir" Anyways nuff said here is the crappy pic..
