Clutch and Synchro replacement

:mad:My syncro is going out says the technicans I work with. My tranny is popping out of second gear.
At the same time my clutch is toast. it has maybe 4000 miles on it but when I replaced my engine I had my flywheel resurfaced and put in a exedy clutch. there was a wierd noise that at the time suspected to be the throw out bearing but now I think it was my flywheel grinding my clutch.
I want to replace my flywheel and cluch and syncro to hopefully illiminate the problems I am having. my question is what is the best economical choice in clutch and flywheel you guys have had luck with. Any input is greatly appreciated. also might I add I have a d15b2 with the stock 5 speed tranny. I also have a spare d16a1 tranny out of my first gen integra I might canabolize for syncros if it will work? :hopelessness:Thank you.

Dont bother replacing your syncrho with a second hand one, get a new one. OEM Honda is best but there are cheaper options out there
For clutch I would go with OEM parts, if you feel the need you can get the pressure plate uprated for more clamping pressure. People in NZ do this and have success even when Turbo and over 400hp
What WON'T cause jumping out if gear? A synchronizer. The synchros are like little individual brakes for each gear. They help match the gear speeds when shifting to prevent grinding.
Your clutch is most likely ok if it was installed correctly.
Here's what I would do:
buy another transmission. Good used ones are still plentiful and cheap. Around here I can get them for<$100 if I go pull it. Price goes up to 2-300 already pulled.
You'll spend more than that on parts to repair the existing one.
Best thing to do in a situation where you're buying used is to assume you will be replacing the shit the wears out that 95% of people do not do. Sometimes trannies are for sale cause they have these types of issues and folks don't want to cop to it. The type of person you're buying from, your judge of character and your technical know-how to take care of the issues when you do get it will go a lot farther than relying on buying a used/junkyard tranny and hoping for it to be 100% (although that does happen!).
If you do get it apart, or they are willing to let you open up the case then you can definitely inspect the bearings AND also most of the syncros (look for marring, deep gouges and wear). Majestic Honda is a great resource for replacement parts (and make sure to replace seals and do not overtorque anything).
