I'm pretty sure this DX has been owned by at least 2 other forum members prior to myself. Holler if you know it!
I was happy to scoop this up after I decided an RT was not needed for the northwest (though I did look forever, fuck was I in for a shock when I saw prices for these wagons again). Bottom line is it had/has some mods that I like and has/had some that I don't like.
Runs pretty good, burns/smokes a little but the D15 has 210k miles on it. Seems to have been moderately well cared for and at least it wasn't smoked in! I did buy this thing sitting at about 1" off the ground, fully dumped on FF coilovers...etc
After raising it up and rebuilding the front suspension/alignment here she sits. It is just a hair under 14" from hub center to fender; probably close to stock height actually (though a bit lower than a stock RT for sure). This is a family-mobile and I am quite pleased with the FF Coilovers on the streets (I did swap out the skunk2 springs that came on them for the softer FF springs).
I DO like the rear cargo setup and I appreciate the relatively clean interior. I did have to resupport the roof skin and I added lots of sound deadening mat and a DA map light while I had it out. It came with one of those old school broadway mirrors that eliminated the sun visors as a result. No likely, I returned it to the stock setup and used civic sedan visors (tiny bit wider) and a DA integra rear view (also a tiny bit wider).
I had to patch up some exhaust leaks and buy a new muffler/rear section (bosal); but the car came with some nice rear arms so at least the rear didn't need any attention.
Mr. Hood Ride will be getting body work/paint VERY soon. This will be my first venture into DIY/garage body repair and paint. I've been gathering materials all this week.
(several areas will need to come down to bare metal, ugh)
Si wheels come with Ziex 912's in very good condition, happy about that!
Thanks for looking and stay tuned!

Ms. Piggy huh? I will have to search for that, this was your car BillBoard?
i did the full interior swap on her and cleaned her up aaaalot... there is a thread some where around here...
Started tearing apart the exterior to prep for filler/primer. Took a LOT of DA work to get the hood and roof in proper shape down to 400 grit; I've been putting some serious strain on my compressor (holding tough though and maintaining 90+psi).
I got most
This was my first time painting a vehicle with a spray gun and paint. I've spent about $450 including tools (paint gun, materials...etc) to paint the car and aside from some detail work later I think I am done. I read a bunch online and watched lots of videos; one site I referenced a lot is here http://www.thebugshop.org/bsfqpnt.htm Gotta give some props to the guy for building the site/information cause I really did help me out.
My first spray, the sealer, came out terribly. Orange peel bonanza as you can see below. Data sheet said 8-10psi so I set my regulator at my gun to 10 psi... Little did I know that was cap pressure - the inlet pressure should have been more like 40-45psi - OOPS! So needless to say the paint sort of globbed out and created this:
Figured it out after some more reading. So I spent a day wetsanding the car with 500 prior to base coat. Put a couple of coats on and a few coats of clear. Had a few mishaps during painting, got some runs in my clear and some dust in the paint. Will try to wetsand those out at a later time. Here is the result so far; happy to get some more pics either when the weather clears up or the paint is actually dry. The color match is definitely a bit darker but I like it so far:
Will be doing some trim/bumper painting soon and start getting things buttoned back up. The new paint sure does show off all the little dings and such - I fixed all the major dents but I think if I were to do it over I would dedicate another few days to get the body as straight as possible before spraying. Metallic paint is not that easy to shoot for your first time, there are a few areas that are not blended so well. Messed a bunch of stuff up, but in the end it does look significantly better.
Word.
I know you see all of your mistakes but it looks pretty good to me!
It is MUCH better than it was, uniform and half way decent considering the circumstances in which I painted it. I've never painted a car and always wanted to, what better than a cheap DD wagon to practice. This makes me want to paint more and it, also, is not my thing. I am happy that I invested in buying a gun - shooting stuff in the future will be a cinch now. Not that rattle cans are bad or don't produce decent results, but its truly not that much more to do it this way (especially if you already have the tools).
Still need to align rear pass door a bit and paint the rear hatch chrome molding. Hoping for no leaks, will give it a true test in a days time.
