lip advice/idea

VIEW ALL LINKS! :)
so , i saw this post about a ford ranger lip from 93-97 and how it fits on our bumper, almost better than a mk3 in my opinion

so i went looking to see what else they had for a ranger, knowing that it would also work for us :)

found this

I figured this was a great way to add fog lights, because I personaly hate how bad the cut outs can end up.

so, there are fog lights that fit it, and it does fit us!, however, does the fog light one round out to much for a 4th gen civic? what do you think?

Personally I wouldn't want my fog lights to hang so low to the ground, especially on the lip itself. First dip or speed bump you hit too hard and not only did you hit and possibly destroy the lip but you also most likely broke the foglight itself. The factory foglight area is just high enough that you don't have to worry about breaking it. The lip is a cool idea but IMHO I think the lip is too rounded to look good on a 4th gen. Square car+round lip is not a good look IMO. That's just me though and to each their own.
  • I have to agree with Wago on the fog lights. But I love the lip I think I'm going to be picking one up on Monday... Nice find
  • This is a great option to the wagons however I would have to agree with Wago on both points.

One of my favorite draws to the EF body style is the (squareness).

I love the idea of that flex piece below. If this lip was more square I would be all over it.

...I wonder how that flex piece would look with the MK3 lip?

    Just a thought!
  • so i do agree, i think its a little to round, but after heavy consideration i now look at my bumper and crave it! hahah, ihave a feeling it will look better than i imagine, and i think i will be getting it and just filling it with these,

also, you guys should look around on the ford ranger forums if your trying to find something a little different, they have a few different ones that bolt up to the ranger and i asume they would also fit us ^_^, a few are more expensive, and urethane.
  • Looked around and found this as you can see the fog light piece doesn't replace the ranger lip it goes under it... So I don't think it would work on the wagon

  • thats the bumper with the foglight lip it goes insted of the other, the lip on the ranger is more like the lower half of its bumper, they call it a valance, most had no fogs, but you Can get it with the fog wholes, and that second part that looks like a plow that only came with the fogless one, i believe it flips down or tucks up.
  • Ok sooo I might have seen that wrong it is a desperate lip
