Break Light Fuse

So this whole week i was wondering why my lights turn on but my break lights dont work I checked all the fuses inside the car and nothing so I followed my wires and they lead to the fuse box under the hood changed it and it worked.. Im only putting this up because I was going like crazy there is nothing on google or anything and I read alot of people having the same problem and only checking the fuse box inside the car... Sorry if someone already put this up just making sure its up

    1) Does 3rd lite wurk?
    2)Try shorting the brake lite switch.
    3)Have some1 press on the brake pdl & check for 12vdc @ brk lite socket.
