Glad to be here with a wagon!

Hi my Name is Austin! Been wanting to join this site for quite some time but felt i needed a wagon to fit in! Well after 5 years of prowling and selling my first 91 RT4wd to i believe Okiewagon1 a few years ago.... I finally found my dream car! And my dreams for it are much bigger! I may have overpaid for it but here it is. 1988 RT4WD 6spd Gold all original, garage kept, no rust on any metal whatsoever! 112k original miles. Spun rod bearing but doesnt matter. Looking forward to getting alot of info for my build as well as helping others. I have specialized in Honda/Acura for 6 years now and can never get enough! So heres the pics! Hope u enjoy.... And sorry for the large pics. Still tryin to figure it out!

Hi welcome, nice wagon. If I lived anywhere but Los Angeles I would be more envious of 4wd capabilities. I agree that this site is great for service and community but also creativity... You gonna keep the ride stock-look or? Mine is same condition/ miles but Ive been worried to invest because of theft in the city. Looking forward to see what your build involves.

heck ya reminds me of my gold 88. seems like a perfect time for a z6 swap.
  • Thanks for the compliments guys. Here in Texas there are very few wagons and no one knows what they are. Only a few die hard honda guys do. Here we don't get much snow, so the purpose of me having the RT is for traction! And that kinda tells you what my plans for it are. There are a lot of haters around here and very good reason too! Kids in high school with straight pipe exhausts and spoilers ruin the honda name. And the diesel truck scene here is very large! But I can take the heat bc I know the potential of these great machines! I would love to keep it all original.... But.... Around here I want to make a statement and I want to be seen! I want people to cramp their necks when I pass them on the road. I'm doing a full turbo build on the D16a6. I'm not going vtec though bc I want to show its not needed. The build will take me the longest bc of course it's the most expensive. But as of this week, I'm ordering all of my suspension needs! I've had skunk2, D2, and Tien suspension setups in the past but I have decided to go with KSport! Mainly because of the seperate hight adjustment without compromising the shocks dampening. And I will also be getting the Rear camber, and rear toe links in KSport as well and Skunk2 front control arms. That's will be my buy for this month. Next month I plan to order 15x8 +20 Rota Zero Plus wheels with 195/45/15 tires, window tint, and a doner motor so I can get a little enjoyment out of it while I build the engine! My goal is a reliable turbo setup built for the street! I'm having problems though on researching a fully built motor built to last. I want a low boost setup for around 250whp on the street and occasional 350-380whp at the track. But I'm not sure of the driveability and longevity of an engine such as that on low boost. So my research continues. Lol I will get lots of pics up when I install the parts and I guess start a build thread. If anyone has any tips or ideas I'm all ears for it. Thanks fellas!

Do me a favor. Try to possibly make paragraphs, because that just looks like a huge block of letters.
