Heys guys, I need some help with my friends Del Sol...
93 Del Sol Si, D16Z6, AEM Intake, Bosch 02 Sensor, Aftermarket Header, N1 Catback, Bosch 4-prong plugs and we just changed the tranny....
So heres the deal..

It's been acting up sometimes.. It won't start sometimes, and sometimes it will rev like it's fixing to start then die and just turn over and over and over.. Then eventually it will crank up if you let it sit for a while.. It then runs fine after you get it cranked..

Now it won't start at all, just turns over and over.. It looks like the motor isn't turning over fast enough, but we tried jumping it off, nothing.. Then tried rolling it off, nothing..

It also seems like it's not blowing any exhaust out of the pipe when we try to start it.. If you wait a little bit it will "puff" and then the same thing..

No codes or anything..


Any ides on what we should try next?

    i am no expert, but try the fuel pump. maybe the engine isnt turning over because there isnt sufficient fuel going to it.

    anyone else?

    coil? ignitor? start testing mechanicle things that wont throw a code like stated above the fuel pump or the dizzy can sometime fail and not throw a code.....

    Try dizzy rotor or main fuel relay.

    Do you hear the click and prime of the fuel pump?

    Ok so we tried messing with it today.. We aren't getting any spark and I don't know where it stops...

    Ignition fuse isn't blown, except there was a shield in the dist. that was broken, and the piece that touches the dist. cap look kinda melted..

    Input please?

    yeah i would remove the "shield" and replace the rotor to see if that helps. think the rotor is fairly cheap, like less then $20 and easy to replace. or you coudl always try a known working one to see if it's it and not waste your money if it isn't the problem.
