so can you use the h2d adapter and keep rt4wd? i can't find any where that says yes or no just maybe or maybe not. if you can i am going to do everything i can (short of selling myself) to try and do this.

Why not just run the RT4WD box out of an accord?
what??? 4wd accord?
i recived an email; from them saying it would work in my EE but i am trying to confirm that i can retain rt4wd. the even said the are working on a driveside mount for the kit.
i know with this kit if it works i can keep my transmisson axles all mount minus driverside, and shifter etc... it woukd still be a lot of work and i would have to save up quite a bit of cash. probably around $2500.
Yeah JDM/EDM Accord using F-series motor (will bolt up to H-series). It would need to be imported.
(11:25 AM 7/4/2007) Bisimoto: Yes, sir, but you would have to make a custom driverside mount at this time.
(11:26 AM 7/4/2007) curt801: when do you think you will have the mounts?
(11:27 AM 7/4/2007) Bisimoto: My mounts are due this month for the EF chassis...only a customer install in an EE wagon will ensure fittiment.
(11:27 AM 7/4/2007) curt801: so it will allow me to use the half shaft? has any tried it with a rt4wd wagon? how is your wagon coming?
(11:30 AM 7/4/2007) Bisimoto: No wagon customers yet...and the half shaft would require slight modification. My EE is doing well, thanks.
(11:33 AM 7/4/2007) curt801: any idea on the mods?
(11:36 AM 7/4/2007) Bisimoto: I would have to see a pic of the undercarriage and top of the EE trans assembly.
1) The ???? is whether the 4WD tranny can handleT  RQUE .IMO the 4Wd tranny isn't that strong.I don't know the weak point, but have seen many 4WD Wgn ads w/bad trannies.I did see one w/a exploded transfer gear to the rear. This one could have been avoided if the owner had taken it into the dealer when she heard the tranny making loud noises. It may be OK if you roll into the throttle rather than STUMP on the gas pedal.Do you have the discipline :?:
2) Check the weight difference of the 2 motors. The EXTRA weight may play havoc with your handling. The 4WD may help, but you may not get the HP to ground w/o a LSD.There's a JDM LSD.See my link:
http://www.hondacivicwagon.com/board/vi ... .php?t=595
W/O the LSD you'll probably find the car useless for draggin or auto-Xing.You may find both inside tires lighting up.
3)The AT may need different mounts.Current recommendation:You must install a trans cooler.
Read my link on Auto gearboxes at the bottom:

Plust noone knows what 4WD tranny can handle! I don't think much - 150-170HP :?:
But than again, what do I know :?: :?: :!: :!:
IMHO!
200HP give or take a bit is what it can handle but as SiWagon stated its the torque you need to worry about, which no-one has really pushed.
I think most of the RT4WD transmissions are strong but in the states you guys seem to put alot of mileage on your cars and that may be the main contributing factor to their demise.
if torque will do me in then maybe the f20b will be a better choice.

 To answer your ???Tyres will help alot. There is NO cheap will to do it.I'm glad you're taking it slow.It saves probs & $$$$Here's your options:
1)Tyres=NOT really cheap 'cuz tyres that grip well don't last long.Look at YOKOHAMA.This company has got their act together. They can make tyres that grip & last a long time, which BFG & Good Year can't seem to do.
2Phatom Grip=1/2 *ss answer,but maybe the cheapest.They probably don't make a kit for the 4WD Wgn.
3)Convert to a 2WD Si tranny w/LSD.This is your best compromise.
All the following are your best answers BUT are BLING!BLING!
4)Traction Control=This & option#1 can be used with the rest of these options.
5)JDM Honda front & rear(ALB) LSD.Depending on the cost of the rear LSD.Another option is modding in a LSD& Diff out of a Datsun 240Z+ or some other rear diff w/LSD.Don't use MIATA=too weak.A trick we use to do was to weld up the rear pumpkin.Basically a FULL LOCK POSI.May not be too streetable, but fun.
I would disagree with your comment, as i have recently opened up transmission of said vehicle.
Please, please tell me what you found.
It's not in horrible shape, it just has pretty much no synchro's left, or engagement dogs on any of the gearsets. Havn't pulled the shafts yet to inspect bearings, trying to get the rebuild done sometime this weekend. I just found the previous comment "80 hard launches with no problems" more than a bit of an exaggeration. I know that car has gone through a handful of clutches, and the current one was quite new, but the pressure plate spring retainers are twisted and not allowing the PP to disengage.
By no means do i believe that the 4x4 trans are weak, but if you "hard launch", you will break stuff. That car has been abused, no doubt.
I am now breathing a sigh of relief. You had me worried there for a little bit. While you're in there, could you take a closer look at the transfer case gears/bearings for me?
your posts make no sense, epic doesn't own the car anymore, and currently it has no transmission and likes to eat clutches.
