So I've acquired struts out of 90 Civic LX (4 door)

I see that rear coils are shorter which will give me some drop (11 coils vs 13 coils).
Now, what about front struts(identical). What can I do to reduce coils without cutting stuff?
I don't think I am ready to invest 300-400 into suspension which I might not like afterall!
I don't want to be in a "go-cart suspension car" like my friend's Tegra...
I still want to retain OEM ride quality with a lower stance!!!
Please input !
Cheers!

  • Most of the time when you lower it your going to get the go kart suspension feel. If your looking for a cheap drop on some decent springs check out my NRG Springs that I have for sale in the classifieds - only $40 plus shipping.

the springs are shorter, but the spring perch is higher to make up for it. It shouldn't give you a drop if you are using the sedan struts matched up to the sedan springs.

My friends Eibach Sportlines on his 240sx rides better than stock!

So, not all supsension is go-kart-ish..

Also, my Skunk2s ride nice, little bouncy but thats due to me needing to cut the bumpers off..

You can drop a Del Sol using Wagon shocks since they have lower mounts than stock Del Sol shocks.. Rides nicely too...
That doesn't help you any, but it's a cool fact to know.

    Jpciii, correction... (I think)

Wagon springs are longer with a lower base..

Civic springs are shorter with a taller base..

Wagon shocks and Civic springs will slamm the heck outa it..

About a 3-4" drop, but about 2-3 on a Del Sol..
