  • Super dope thread. Good progress man. Makes me want to get another wagon.
  • I had some supplies left over from a tuck I wanted to do on my 95 si but never did so I thought I'd tuck the stock motor.

Thanks I went one better and made the radio Bluetooth compatable so now So there's no wires visible and you can stream music strait from your iPhone!

Was going to say about the previous stereo mod that could have been accomplished with an old style cassette adapter. They have a "cassette" on one end with a gadget inside that "talks" to the cassette deck's tape head and a plug that fits headphone jacks on the other end. But Bluetooth, lol!

Yea after I did the mod I was looking up a multi port for my wife's truck and I seen the cassette adapter . I felt super stupid I forgot all about them haha. Do you have any idea how long I looked for a cassette tape for that thing? Lmao all good tho life's about learning from your mistakes!
  • Dam everyone is jumping on your duckbill! Pretty impressive work all around. I'm glad we have a nerd like you that works for the air force and brings a wagon back to life plus more. Keep it up in really enjoying watching this build.

Lol thanks bud well I'm working with the mods to create a thread for the duckbill. I working out if I want to build a couple (very few) . Each one will be handmade to your specification. I've been toyin with the idea for a min but I should have one done on the 16th or so. And that will determine if I want to do it (cost and time). I don't want to produce them unless im happy with the outcome and I'm picky. Lol I'll keep you guys posted first one is sold pending my approval on the final product.
  • I'm interested more in seeing the final product then buying one. But if it comes out as good as it looks so far and the price is right how can I say no. I'm going to need down force because I am trying to make my car as light as I can so strength will be a big factor
  • bay is looking good man, i hope to see this car in person one of these days!
  • Thanks Cody but she's farrrrr from being complete it will be at wekfest next year for sure. I really wanna take my time with all the little shit because that's where it counts. As soon as my buddy buys my truck I'll drop 4k in parts alone. Its a little contradicting but I wanna get the car strait order all my parts and then do all the bolt on stuff over a weekend lmaolol that would be awesome like overhaulin "wagon edition" lmao.
  • Shaved the drivers side support
    216.jpg

Im workin a weird schedule for the next 10 days so I won't get much done. The car still hasn't started right since the wire tuck so I'm a little nervous about working out those issues but I'll get her running again soon I'm going to the yard to grab another Harness and swap between the two until I can isolate the problem
  • Who cares if she works as longs as she looks good, just like my wife! :) so after you find out what went wrong explain in detail so if I do a tuck I know what to look out for.
  • I found some old pics on my camera of the wagon when i first got it... brace yourselfs

notice the sweet lock system they had on there...on both sides

ewww i felt so gross to sit in this
    295.jpg
i really cant explain how dirty this car was... but this is a small example of what i did

  • Ain't it amazing how a little elbow grease and 100 hours can really clean up someone else's crap?!?!?! HAHAHAHAHA looks great man!! have to admit, been on lookout for old factory stereo and EQ (see Chaife) just cool shit there... how hard would it be to hook up actual ipod plug instead of just aux jack? aah wouldn't be able to control it anyway so it would just be waste eh? Paint looks awsome too, may have ta try that too!
  • Dan- Thanks for the complements. I guess you could do a iPod cord but then you would be limited to just iPod stuff ( wife has a droid) and I don't think it would charge the IPod tho. You will be able to control it but only through the iPod not the actual deck. I just bought a bluetooth receiver (not transmitter) And took the audio jack plugged it in and then taped the receiver to the back of the stock deck. Yea man it's payday for me so I'll be working on the duckbill this weekend and hopefully have it done for you guys to give me a review on it. Wish me luck!
  • So ahhh.... IT'S PAYDAY EVERYBODY lol. That means I get to work on the wagon and you guys get a update. I spent about $50 dollars for paint supplies and painted the passengers side this is only spraypaint so far so don't hate too much she's got a ton of paint work ahead. I know I taped the trim so it would get painted. I'm using the white as a primer for the black trim

  • Oh and the one piece of trim is being replaced. I'm going to do a gloss black vinyl wrap for the roof what do you guys think?

Vinyl wrap across entire roof? That will.look pretty good but won't that increase interior temps even more on those 116 degree days?

    Your paint looks good!
  • ^ anything after 110 degrees feels the same haha. I want to paint it black but to get it to shine like I want probably won't happen. The black will also help break up the car a little better. I've been wanting to do it to my Lexus but the wife is totally against it... But yet she's ok with me doing it to the wagon...huh?

    I like your idea ...

also would you happen to have any pictures of that bluetooth mod you did ...
im interested my first gen Odyssey has stock tape deck that controls a 6disc changer under the passenger seat that im kinda fond of.... road trips r fun with endless music but bluetooth adds the blackberry STORM into that mix ..... for added ZINggggggggggg
  • That looks pretty sweet I've never been a fan of the patterned vinyl but that's defiantly diffrent! I don't know if you can do it with a 6 disk player the way I modded mine the tape player is actuated (fooled the tape plays but the audio cords are cut from it) and the aux cord is just plugged into the blue tooth receiver... I'll do a DIY next time I got the dash apart no big deal. Ive been getting alot of messages for it. The only reason I don't think you can do it is because the deck would be receiving 2 diffrent signals at the same time if you tap into it... Sorry bud

I got this today just some color to the car

^^^^bummer... so clean, then that lol

I too am stealing your deck mod. Great idea!
  • Since I let charb down I guess I'll have to make this MY car lol. Sorry buddy. Got some good news and some bad news. Bad news I fucked up on sanding the paint and used 1000 grit and not 2000 so I sanded through the paint on a door so it needs to be painted again... Damn. Good news ingot a package today

    352.jpg
Edm plate holder with lights and OEM Stanley side markers from the Netherlands
    353.jpg
Also got some etchings of the decals so I might be producing these as well

  • So I had a little time today after work for the wagon. I did the rust repair to the other side once again the only experience I have doing this is the other side haha. I could have filled it with fiberglass and bondoed over it but I don't wanna cut corners on it ... Well I guess I did bad pun. Here's some pics

    Looks good!
  • keep up the work! lookin forward to seeing more!
  • So I did some work on my tail light I hate that I had 2 cracked drivers side tail lights but they were cracked in diffrent sections so I fixed them

    Heres the two
    495.jpg

    Tail light 1
    496.jpg
    tail light 2
    497.jpg
Just throw the lights in the oven for 8 min and start prying them apart gently. Gently is the key here!!

    Tada red square out
    498.jpg

Just pull out the other same section and put back in the over for 8 min
    499.jpg

    and the casualties

All back together ready to shave the trunk lock, "H" and wiper

  • Here's a DIY for my Lexus headlights... Same process for the tails
