When you do your final edits to the document, will you makes sure you include a known compatible parts list outside of the coveted bracket and hardware package (ie: oem calipers and ebrake cables). Iam assuming that the standard DA integra calipers and cables will work, but wonder about fitment of any newer ex or si calipers. Just wanna be on the lookout while you continue your final R&D. Thanks!
  • Yeah, list of compatible calipers would be great :) I hope the kit is not for something we in Europe can't get a hold of easily...

Honda used the same caliper on the back of the CRX Si, 92-00 Civics, and 90-01 Integras.

The bracket can be found on any of the 02-5 Civic Si and 02-6 RSX. It is possible the brackets from the TSX, TL, and Accords from similar vintages could be used as well, but I haven't been able to verify if that is the case.

Rear pads are from the Civic Si and RSX.

Still sorting out the rear cables. DA Integra cable will work, but they are long and the mounts do not line up with the chassis and trailing arms very well. Still have to try the CRX cable to see where they line up.

thanks again for putting in the work to make it perfect and not just whatever you can make work!

That info is perfect. Please lmk when rear bracket is officially avail and ill take a set off your hands! :encouragement:
  • I just tried today to swap over the trailing arms from a FWD Wagon and EF9 ones, and saw it was not possible to do it, so i googled and came up to that thread. Very nice job from Lowflyin' !! Hope you get the time one day to make it the bracket for FWD. Cheers
  • Here is a link to the install guide .pdf

I still have a couple of details to iron out, but I will get a initial production run post in the Approved Vendors forum by this weekend.
  • yesssss!!! soo excited bro!!
  • will it work with not only 96 civic si caliper, but also with 96 bracket and rotor (240) ?
    (because i've already have them)
  • The caliper bracket from a 92-00 Civic will not place the caliper out far enough to fit over the 260mm rotor and a 240mm rotor will not put the caliper out far enough to stay out of the RTA.

    So nice and easy.

Have you decided which ebrake cable is the optimal one?

price tag and payment info please! lol

I need this already! I was working on my rear brakes today after one side locked up randomly... i can't figure out what's wrong, and they won't stay in adjustment/self adjust, new adjusters and such. Drum brakes suck balls to work on.

In the Install Guide, you mention 'Cable Adapter Bracket' as an included part, but never mention it in the install guide. What is this adapter bracket you speak of? are we retaining the drum ebrake after all?
  • Yes, the PBC adapter is in process and is the final component needing to be finalized.

Now that's what i'm talkin aboot!

nice writeup too! looks like cake for an install. Now to find a decent source for hubs or bearings....
  • GriftyGrifty Wagonist
Do you need to change the bearing or is it just recommended?
  • If you will be pressing out the hubs, I would strongly encourage installing new bearings.

The backing plate can be cut and removed around the hub assembly, but it is a tight space and will take some time and care. I used a plasma cutter for the install on my wagon, and I know that is a tool that isn't all that common for the garage mechanic.

I've made some updates to the proposed pricing tiers, the basic kit will now include brake hoses.

I have the basic and inclusive tiers laid out with pricing, so I'm a couple days late on getting that info to you...but I will have a post in the vendor section by tomorrow night or I won't go to sleep until it is posted!
  • klumklum Senior Wagonist
how bout price breaks for the first customers???!!! lol
  • Was planning on that already. :)
  • Good stuff LowFlyin, and doesn't every garage have a plasma cutter?
  • quartersquarters Council Member
    Not in my backyard garage!

    Yes, very good stuff indeed.

I will paypal you a deposit now if it makes you feel any better.
  • GriftyGrifty Wagonist
Put me down for a set :)
  • If there are enough Euro members I will be happy to take a group package to my military address. This could potentially save some money (no international shipping, no customs), and save lowflyin some time as I will take care of all the euro member shipments.
  • Filed for the CD1Racing LLC yesterday. :concern:

It's getting realer by the day.

    Very nice!
  • Hey guys, I appreciate your patience on the release of this.

I am doing this in my spare time, as I do work for a company in the automotive aftermarket bringing new products to the fueling segment, I don't always have free nights.

I am ~95% to getting this finalized, along with getting the LLC set up.
  • PrennroPrennro Council Member
I can relate on not having the free time you would like, so thanks for the update on this. I appreciate your attention to testing and getting completely setup before pushing this out. Patiently waiting for official availability.....
  • Take your time because I would rather have a great product late then a subpar product early! Nobody has done this before and we have lived with not having an aftermarket market for all these years a few more days/weeks we can handle I am sure.

Just an update, I know its been forever. I have a rear disc prototype, however it requires 15" wheels most likely cause its an 11" disc. However it uses a regular civic caliper, WILL allow for the e-brake and requires no cutting into the trailing arm. I want to test this locally in GA on a 2WD version first, as the hubs bolt on, should there be a problem, and the adapters I made will fit the 2WD and 4WD trailing arms/spindles. Sorry for the severe lack of updates, I haven't forgotten. Anyone with a 2WD wagon willing to be a guinea pig? EDIT: Sorry nevermind, I see a rear disc adapter has finally been made already. Can't figure out where that guy found the space that I could not.
