That's the idea, the brackets I am engineering are to utilize OE Honda parts.

well once you've completed the setup please lmk.

what rear disc and calipers will work with your brackets? so i can start looking now

I'll believe it when I've seen it. So many owners want/promise to complete this. Quite frankly, the drums work fine. That mated with a good front brake upgrade an you're more than set!

Either way, I'd be interested in picking up a kit if it ever becomes available.

I know how that goes Fake, that's why I kept the project under wraps for as long as I did.

The bracket has been through 2 revisions and it looks like it is going to need one more tweak before it gets finalized. Apparently creating something in 3D space is more difficult than the Internet makes it out to be.

The conversion will use the standard 88-00 Civic/Integra rear caliper and 02-3 Civic Si Rear Disc. The caliper bracket (not the bracket for the bracket) is still being finalized as is the pad...but they will be an easy to find OE part.

right after he mails me mine.

i am going to hold off on my rear brakes for 2 weeks. if this is for sale and finalized i want some for the rear.

what e brake setup will be used?

2 weeks is going to be pushing it. My next two weekends are going to be taken up with personal/life time (my birthday is July 1), so it's looking more like mid-end of July.

Very nice. I have been intending to just weld up a one-off set, since brakeexpert hasn't come through. If you have a bolt-on solution, so much the better.

It is great to see someone putting up around here for a change. Keep it up and i will buy a set even though I don't need them.

How long did this take you from start to finish?

Dude dude dude dude.... when are you going to have a larger quantity of these? I would love to get some discs on the rear of my wagon.

    Very Nice!
  • This is awesome news and it looks like you are doing a PRO job. I am sure you will have no shortage of customers. Thank you sir!

Any chance that I can swap AWD spindles onto my FWD car just for this kit? Also can you still use the brake dust covers?

Just jumped into an 89' RT a short while ago, I have a full rear disc conversion sitting around was meant for my hatch, however, lets just say she got pretty banged up before I could do the install. Regardless, I see this thread has been going on for years, I'm glad to see LowFlyin' has begun to develop a bracket system. I am totally in for a kit once all the details are ironed out. Keep up the good work and thank you.

I have just refreshed my drums :|
Might take one kit if the price is right and I can find other things in EU. :)

Lowflyin' that is pretty bad ass.

I'd be in for a set.

That is one thing I want to do on my wagon but have not mustered the courage to do.
  • Count me in for a set or two. Awesome work!

If I can bolt the RT4WD spindles onto my wagon count me in for one too. If not it looks like I'll be grinding.

    ill def take a set
  • Do you think your bracket bracket would be suitable for a 5 lug conversion?

It should be. The 02-03 Civic Si rear disc has similar dimensions as the 04-05 Civic Si rear disc.
  • I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm willing to pay atleast 50% upfront for a set to help fund this project
  • LowFlyin'LowFlyin' Moderator
I appreciate that. It isn't a matter of funding, I've decided to go ahead and do it even if it means I'm the only that's going to do it. It really just comes down to time. All of my friends have seemed to be wanting to get married these past couple of months.

I have next weekend slated to get design 3 and possibly design 4 (hopefully not, but I am budgeting time for it) completed and test fitted so i can get the final design to the machinist the week after.

    awesome good luck

do you have a round about price for the brackets? or everything needed to run discs?

    i need to start saving

    lowflyin'

is this going to be able to fit rt trailing arms as well as just fwd?

    Thanks
  • LowFlyin'LowFlyin' Moderator
This is intended for RT4WD models. The question is if it will also fit the FWDs.
