  • Nice project!

One thing about the "Concerto Aerodeck" - these never exist. That one shown earlier was a "converted" Rover 416 Estate. A friend of mine build it.

Alright guys I've run into a minor issue, I'm building a mini me using a D16Y4 block and a JDM D15B head.

The issue is which cam gear do I use? Or should I use an adjustable one? How far off will the timing be if I use the D15B cam gear?

    Small update:

Repainted the S pipe as it was black and wasn't that great. I also cleaned up all of the fittings, new teflon tape on them as well & made a block off plate as I don't need that hole.

Fuel rail and injectors test fitted as well, the kit came with a BBK 62mm throttle body which is nice :D

    Bit of an update.

Have been working on a new motor to drop in. It's a mini me consisting of a JDM D15B head with a D16Y4 block.

Should hopefully be sending the head off in 1-2 weeks to be reconditioned.

  • Your car and build have stolen my heart. D15b (obd-1 single stage vtec head?) and this Honda with appears to be of the 4th gen that Ive never seen. I've only seen the last page as well. Really looking forward to this and some fun videos [:

Yes sir single stage vtec (out of a JDM 96kw civic)

This is a first gen Concerto, but all of the mechanicals, driveline and suspension is the same as a civic. Its basically a different exterior and interior.

There will be some videos, hopefully before and after ones as well :)
  • Nice! I have an full D15b single stage in my Wagon. Love that motor! Keep up the work! Can't wait for some videos of it with the supercharger!
