need help

i have a 88 honda civic wagon 2wd with the 1.5 and i am having troubles starting it when i try to it floods it and i dont know how to fix it. if you can help plz do.....

    How do you know it floods?

    Could be a main relay. Which would be the opposite of flooding. Which your car won't do anyway, because it's fuel injected.

    it sprays fuel out the exhaust and it floods the throttle body.

    How do you know it's fuel coming out the exhaust? Could very well be water.

    Explain 'flooding the throttle body'....

    it spits fuel out of the trottle body....it smells just like fuel out the exhaust

    are you continually cranking the car, or cycling the fuel pump by turning the key on and off? how do the spark plugs look? i would take one out, leave it plugged into the wire and see if it sparks when you crank the car.

    check your dizzy-
    It sounds like its starting to fail "IMO"
    there can be so much causing "the flooding" but cranking it and stepping on the gas wont help. start with basics- air, fuel, spark.

    make shure your getting a good spark not a dul orange ohm your injectors posibly one is stuck open they shuold be close to same ohms
