Product Review: eBay Generic Hatch Struts/Tailgate Supports

Hey guys,
I was getting tired of having to use a lock pliers to hold my tailgate up evertime I needed to haul something. It was a cheap fix and worked great, but it gets old...and the leaking grease from the bad strut was a bit offputting. I called the Honda dealership and they wanted $70 per side...eff that. So, I spent the $40 on these

and I am quite amazed.
It took me about 15 minutes from start to finish and I'm so glad I spent the money. Now when I open the tailgate, it even lifts on it's own by the time I get back there...so awesome. I highly recommend em if yours are going out guys.
The one bad thing is that when I was doing this, I rested on the bumper and it fell...bumper support is rusted out. Bummer. Oh well...worth it.

Yeah the new arms make the boot act like a catapault. Maybe try and make it into a trebuchet by attaching some string and a hook.
