how do you prevent your wagon from being stolen?

So I got my RT up and running but have been so paranoid when I go do my usual daily activities. I just want to know what Honda people do to help with this issue. I was thinking about a kill switch, or even doing a push start but hiding the actual button. What are your guy’s take on this, and what do you do??

Hidden kill switch has always been my favorite because it can be anywhere nobody can predict where it might be.... after that if your realy scared layer security, brake pedal lock, steering lock/or remove the wheel, alarm with tip sensor for those with a tow truck trying to get yer car, remove your ECU... thats what i usually try to do but im kinda spoiled i live in a place where i could leave my keys in the car and it would be fine but i still arm it as if the worst could happen.

I too live in a decent area and rarely worry, but I keep my main relay unbolted and just unplug it a take it with me on the off chance I'm parking in a less than favorable area. Thinking about getting a quick-release hub and steering wheel for extra precaution as well.

    Relocate your hood latch cable.
Alarm system w/ a bubble barrier. ( So it alarms when people try to get close to your car)
    Tilt Sensor too.
Kill Switch. (Multiple ones are good too)
    Overkill is best with security.

I use that pedal club thing. locks out my clutch pedal from getting pressed.

I think I want a kill switch too; maybe fake a rear defrost switch so it looks totally original.

Ive got a quick release and an alarm, hood switch and the sensitivity jacked up!

I used to take the main relay out when it was just hanging, But i'm thinking about using the AC switch as some sort of "press this if you want to start the car" button. Not sure exactly what it'll be wired to though. Of course, i don't have AC so the button is useless haha

a really neat one for those already wanting something on the lines of hondata or w/e neptune for the demonboard can do a startup sequence. so you could do like throttle-throttle-throttle-brake-clutch-ect in whatever pattern you want before the car will start. kinda neat, oh and all the other tuning features lol. pricey though

I keep my wagon looking like crap so no one will want it.

all these ideas are great guys, keep em coming!! I think i will use the battery terminal screw thingamajig when i leave my wagon outside. then for everyday use i think i will have a fake rear defroster. but i like everyone elses ideas

I live in an City where there are maybe 5 modified wagons, and I know all of them. The rest are just beaters.

If anyone were stupid enough to steal it, I'd be able to spot them in a heartbeat and so would anyone else on a CRX or wagon forum.

Luckily people just aren't interested in slow non-vtec dseries motors. And I know theives drool over the car sometimes, but then they realize they can't really use or sell anything off the car because they're so oddball and rare.

Now the CRX on the other hand... oy vey

I usually keep mine safe by having it on jackstands with the wheels off, axles out, and motor removed much like some of our other members lol.

DIY Immobilizer with a reed switch. Reed switch buried in the dead pedal. Magnet in shoe. Trips people out every time.

I like the main relay idea. I just keep mine easily accessible.
