short shifter for RT4WD? (NO)

I just purchased the RT4WD from Justintime ( the black one in Jersey). It now has a new home in my GA garage, free from the harsh environment of the northeast. I am looking for a short throw shifter for this car. Does one even exist or will I have to custom make one?

btw- the car will soon have a set of HID 6000k headlights and 20% tint on the glass. I also plan to install a set of yellow fog lights in the front bumper and retro fit them with HID capsules. Reehehehehe

long term - ZC motor w/supercharger

thx

  • Pull your shifter and make your own. I know exactly how to do it just waiting to find out some lengths from someone with a namebrand shifter.

why couldn't you just get a short shifter for an 89-91 crx or civic?

Because the Wagon uses a cable shifter, and the other Civics use a rod actuated shifter.

Ding ding ding ding, we have a winner!

Yes the RT4WD uses a cable shifter. Your best bet for a good shift is to first tighten everything up with new rubber components. Have a search around, somewhere on the site there is a pic of an exploded version of the shifter and it shows each of the rubber bushes you need to replace to... make that bitch tight again.
