rt4wd clutch cable replacement part number?

I know the Honda replacement number but those are no longer available. I have been searching the web for a replacement but most the ones I find say exc. wagon. My local napa and oreillys say they are unavailable also. So my question is will a clutch cable from another civic work on my rt. and if you replaced yours wich one did you use and what's the part number. Thanks guys.

I did remove my current one and on the bushing that hooks to the tranny lever it says SH3.
That's the code for the hatchback right.

I suspect a bad wire. I checked and rechecked my pedal assembly and can't find any cracks or bends. I even checked the lever and the thing that the adjusting nut sits on. Bump

Cool. Yea I found a brand and part number that is still available, most of the ones I found after calling them they would tell me the part wasn't available. Also after talking to a few parts guys I found out that the original length of the rt clutch cable is 62 1/2 inches, other civics of its gen are 61 1/2 inches wich is the one I currently have.

PIONEER Clutch/Cable CA-506. This is the brand name and part number I found. Auto Zone can get them. I got mine from finditparts.com, probably won't be here till Wednesday.

Here is a thought I had, do you guys think that using that shorter cable puts extra stress on the pedal assembly. In return causing all the broken clutch pedals. Maybe alot of people out there are running a shorter cable and don't know it. Just something I been thinking about, what do you guys think?

My '89 wagon's pedal bracket cracked over 10 years ago with the original clutch cable. The replacement bracket I bought from a Honda dealer had a reinforcement welded on where the crack happened, so I think it was just a flaw in the bracket's design, not stress from a shorter cable.
