seen a few EF hatch / crx / sedan.....
actually i called them, they said anything 91 and under is discontinued.. think a 92 would work, if not what other years you guys would work?

this was done on an ef hatchback, may work for other models youll just have to measure to check.
i got this idea when i saw how small eg hatch shocks were and i measured them and i knew i could make it work. your hood will have zero clearance problems and it will sit level with this modificat ion.
disclaime r: perform this modificat ion at your own risk, i am not responsib le for damages to your vehicle from you attemptin g this.
what you will need:
* regular hand tools
* 2 new eg hatch glass rear window shocks w/hardware
* drill and drill bits
* tap (same size as threads on hardware)
* welder (optional)
1. first you will need to drill out the center fender bolt hole enough to fit the tap into (not sure what size they are).
2. then you will need to tap the hole so that the hardware that came with the shocks will thread into the hole.
3. then you will need to unbolt and remove the hood (mark for alignment)
4. then on the side of the hood hinge, right inbetween the two bolt holes, you will need to either drill a hole and bolt the hardware on or you can do like i did and grind it down and weld the hardware on with the ball facing out.
5. then just install the shocks with the large end towards the front of the car and bolt the hood back on.
when you are done it should look similar to this.
NOW LETS SEE SOME ACTION ...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
