It was sitting at my mates place in his carport, he wanted to use it for his car but there is no way it was going to work so I tried it on the shuttle and as I said its almost perfect!
so you think any civic/integra with a duckbill spoiler looks shit?
Pretty much most wings slapped on the back of a wagon look like dog shit...
but some have done really nice work with modding a spoiler to fit a wagon. Like From_is_to_si or whatever his screen name is... Chargespeed spoiler looks dynomite
also prennro's wing looks awesome- I think its an EG spoiler pretty heavily modded to fit...
but when you just bolt/superglue/ducktape something on the back, it looks like just that- poo poo...
No offense to Dan, he just said he wanted the opinion good or bad...
yeah i do agree with that this does need fibreglass and filler work im thinking about doing the same but full blending the gtir wing into the shuttle wing
That is awesome! I love it when people are honest and you aren't the first to describe it that way.
I will be honest I hated it when I first put it on but it has grown on me and I love it. Its not for everyone but that is the beauty of modifying cars everybody has different ideas and opinions.
These pics dont make it look real good and a couple of people that hated it in the pics have changed their minds after seeing it in person.
Wow didn't realise how long ago I updated this! The wing is no longer on, which I know will please some people (me included). I have finally got her all legal, it failed the WOF inspection on RTA bushes, front engine mount, a tiny bit of rust and I had to remove the c pillar brace as it is bolted to seatbelt anchorages. I also started a new job in another workshop so got my 2 1/4" exhaust from my donor CRX modified to fit the shuttle. She has also finally acquired a name "Dominique". I have stolen SiRges idea of having an extended shifter but made a custom gear knob for the top. I managed to come across a broadway mirror that was in a car that we bought at work. A new air filter, coolant temp sensor, few bright bulbs here and there too. I have toyed with the idea of selling but I really don't think I can at this stage, as there is so much more I want to achieve with this car.
Oh shit I just realised I didn't update when I did a grass autocross either! Had an absolute blast thrashing the arse off Dominique in the dirt. I learnt a lot about what I like and don't like about the car and what I will change. A couple of pics of the day.
Hahaha it was so much fun! Mugens performed flawlessly :P
There is a sealed autocross coming up so I might rock out with the shuttle again and get my arse handed to me by teenagers that don't even hold a drivers licence :encouragement:
I took one of the mechanics at work for a drive on Sunday, this dude is a perfectionist. He has built WWI and WWII aircraft engines, reverse engineered parts for said engines, has a reputation for building stropy as fuck Jag race engines and owns an E-type Jag....
Anyway, he actually said he was impressed with how well the shuttle went "for a shitty Honda" hahahaha
Another pictureless update.......I have been advertising my shuttle for sale but so far all I have had is idiots offering me swaps for underpowered, automatic pieces of shite. Unfortunately or fortunately I have been reading through some of my favourite builds on here and the spark/love/interest for my shuttle has been somewhat renewed so unless I get the money I am asking for my shuttle in the next few weeks I will probably take it off the market and follow through with some ideas I have been toying with.......Watch this space!
Last night I was in Wellington city chilling with Bwarp squad watching all the people cruising and doing their thing, decided to leave and happened to get a red light with a WRX lined up next to me. Just for shits and giggles I kinda may have coerced him into "taking on" my family wagon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=DX2Yf53AYSY Apparently a Subaru WRX is faster than a Honda Shuttle, who would have thought????? *I don't condone street racing* but I made an exception just this once because it was just so funny.
Comments
*It didn't come off a Honda
Any gusses to what kind of car it is off?
And there we have it!
Opinions are welcome whether you like it or hate it.

But also I love it!
