Had a low key meet up today with the boys and girls from Bwarp, it was good to see some sunshine and banter with all my good friends. A couple of pics from today
Installed some new boot struts for the tailgate, what a huge difference that has made! While I was there I decided to finally install the speaker pods I got a while back. Mr Honda was thinking ahead because the rear speaker wiring was already there ready to be connected to the speakers.
A friend of mine works in a place that does alot of steel cutting/makes stainless fittings etc and made a few of these tow hooks.
I need to make a bracket to fit it to the rear and if it doesn't look any good I will mount it up front.
Over the last month I have sold the Advan Sa3r's so I am back to rocking my BR's (watanabe lookalikes), I made a bracket and attatched the tow hook but it looks shit so its not on there. Painted the rear muffler black and finally painted my front windscreen wiper arms black.
I spent some time straightening my rear bumper aswell. This consisted of straightening the metal impact beam and then heating the plastic bumper up and reshaping back to as close as I could to normal. I have painted the front and rear bumpers black too.
It's an improvement for sure, and with the weather starting to get nicer the motivation is begining to return.
I may have also stumbled upon another EF to buy cheap, its dual carb'd, white and relatively tidy....But more on that when i know more.
I have slowly been sorting out a few bits and pieces that have needed doing since the engine swap and manual conversion. The trans tunnel had a gaping hole from where the auto was and because the shifter sits slightly further back than the oem one I had to make a steel plate to keep the noise down a bit. It was also missing the passengers side window rubber so as you can imagine the wind noise was horrible, got one off Geoffs mighty beagle and the difference is amazing!.
The bonnet was in pretty bad shape with rust holes and shit so again the beagle came to my rescue the problem being the bonnet was green. Today I sanded it back and painted it gloss black aswell as the tailgate which was also a different colour and then cos I am such a classy prick I painted the Honda logos the rear one is pink and the front hammerite blue
I like how it has turned out, looks better than it did.
I have had some fueling issues so today I swapped the fuel filter out and so far I think it has made some difference bt the test will be when I start it up from cold. i am hoping its that and not the fuel pump.
I will upload some pics when I get around to taking some.
DA front lip adapted to be my rear lip, scored it for $9 at pick a part. I also got the bars that go across the rear side windows but looking at my Shuttle it doesn't have the oem mounts to mount them
i was wondering if its not too much trouble, could you show me where and how the manual seat belts are mounted in your beagle?
my wagon came with auto belts, and i have all the beagle hardware/plastics for the manual belts, so i'm thinking of welding the bolt mounting points in. maybe a shot of the b pillar, and a shot where the female buckle ends are mounted to the floor?

thanks, and if it's too much work, i understand.
keep up the good work!
She isn't a Beagle but I can take some pics for you, SiRge has a beagle that he is wrecking in his garage so i will take some pics of that for you
Not much of an update but I did install a C pillar brace. Now I know they dont do anything etc etc but I like it, I have always liked them so I got one to satisfy my emotional longing to have one :P
I also went for a drive up the island with some of the Bwarp crew on Sunday and decided I hate the shuttle seats for longer drives (my excuse anyway)
So I did a deal and got some WRX seats for the shuttle, its going to take some work but they will fit and my god they are so comfy!
Not much else has happened apart from driving her as much as I can!
Hey Dan when you did the auto to manual conversion was the clutch cable hole in the firewall there? Or did you have to rig something up? The hole is not in my Rhd firewall since it was auto.

and a pic of SiRge's and my shuttles together

Also sorted out my central locking issue (Y) So now all doors lock and unlock as they should.

Yeah mine is on a bit of an odd angle but I got it as good as I could, heat gun and self tapping screws FTW!

awesome thank you dan!! how do they say, you're a good mate? hahahah.
SiRge is wrecking a beagle? whyyyy!
SiRge is wrecking a beagle as part of a bigger plan he has, I am sure all will be revealed when he is ready
To be fair its not really that bad, I would have saved it if I had bought it. It has donated a fair few parts to my shuttle now though!
you sneaky NZ guys' hahahaha!
oh an i know how you feel about that huge hole for the auto trans in the firewall.... my rhd clip was auto, and i will be welding the dang thing shut!
The view was pretty good too.

Went to a local minitruck meet on Monday night and rep'd the "minivan"
and this minitruck was my favourite, SR20DET, C-Notched, body dropped and on airbags, so much custom work in this thing!
Also see you got that protection stuff for the C-pillar :encouragement:
