Wheel size on RT4WD

So i want to put a staggered setup on my RT4WD. I figured that if I got wheels and tires with a very very small difference it should be okay. So what I've come up with is a 16x8 +0 in the front with a 175/50. And in the rear 16x9 +0 with a 185/50. The difference in diameter is only about 5mm so I'm assuming it would be okay as it would only result in about a 1 mph difference at 60 mph. Just looking for input.

    ok just a thought ...
y would a different size not work as long as the OUTER diameter of the tire is the same ... who cares how wide u go .... as long as the rotation rate is the same ..

I agree, why would a size of outter diameter as long as wheel is the same jeopardize a VC?
I'm curious what size is safe, reliable, and comfortable?

the wheel size shouldnt matter ..
say u want 17 inch rim with a wider tire on the back and a 15 or 16inch rim on front more skinnier with not as wide tire so u can still turn

    like this ....

    or

u will need some kind of chart or calculator to figure this out .. (its not my style ..) but u can go have fun with this

im going for 5 of these ....!!!

  • I have crunched all the numbers on my build and the difference in tires is so minimal I don't think it will matter. My tire combo is only a .3% difference in revolutions per mile between the front and back. I don't consider that to be enough to destroy a VC.
