Wow that's really clean 2wd... How did you get your red wagon so shiny? I've got one exactly like your wife's except mine's an automatic.

Thanks! and I had the red car painted about a year ago, and I just keep it waxed with Meguires Tech Wax 2.0. I really like their wax!

and deep down I kinda wish our 2wd was an auto;).
  • Cody, those mats look way more than OK and really stand out with how clean the wagon is, good job.

I wish mine was a stick. I had to negotiate with my parents on letting me get a manual, but I had to choose between an auto wagon or no car at all. Guess what I chose....

    Update!

I am also doing all the timing and oil seals too!

Heres all the OEM Honda parts for the new motor:

    -Head gasket
    -Head bolts
    -Intake/exhaust gaskets
    -Pan gasket
    -Plugs/Wires
    -Timing belt
    -water pump
    -Timing tensioner
    -Cam and Crank seals
    -Rear main seal
    -Valve cover gasket set

Here is some pictures of assembling the motor:

So last week I took the old motor out!

Next, I found a few more issues as I tore into things. A couple of motor mounts, and the intermediate Shaft!

    4.jpg

Honda has discontinued the inner and outer seals and the bearing for the intermediate shaft. Also most major auto parts stores do not even show a listing for these parts either.
So, I was able to press the old bearing out, and cross referenced the bearing number with our SKF rep at work, he was able to get me a new bearing and an outer seal. The inner seal is a 68.5mm OD, and it isn't available any longer. (That we could research).

    The new bearing (SKF# 6008-2rs)

Here's the new bearing on the bearing heater:

I assembled it back together. its much better!!

Anyways, I got the motor in and it is running great,:smug: I checked the valve clearance and timing after running it a few times.

Now just need to get an alignment! (I replaced the power steering rack and tie rod ends).
