What size is that old school classic honda OEM steering wheel? and bring the rear rt4wd mud flap to the next meet if you still got it, i'll pick it up from you.
I don't have them, and the steering wheel is about maybe an inch larger across then the stock RT Wheel.
Must be a 15in cause the stock RT4wd steering wheel is 14in. I've been enjoying seeing these old school steering wheels as a couple people been picking them up from the junk yard and refinishing them. I may have to look into picking one up so i can switch it up always good to have different flavors steering wheel wise for a different look week to week, i am now inspired to find one!
So pretty!! Man, that new paint and dent free body have me jealous!! Love that steering wheel too, I was looking for one for a while but ended up just getting a Nardi instead as all the ones I found for sale were super expensive, and I wasn't having any luck at the Pick-N-Pull. I would still like to find one and restore it, throw a quick release on it and do like beastmode and have multiple wheels for different days of the week. Pyimpin.

That's an awesome idea!
I want and measured, and yes it is a 15inch

Thanks! and yeah I was totally lucky to find this one, I drive by a pick and pull everyday, so I check their inventory very often. If I see one I will get another for you. And thanks! that would be sweet to be able to change wheels everyday haha
I washed her for the first time since paint! and it looks amazing! also I put my RT wheels on with some regular civic center caps. because I don't have lugs for the RT Caps, but now i really kinda like the ones that are one them now...;):encouragement:
I love the height of my wagon, could be a bit higher...
Right now I am running Skunk2 sleeves on KYB struts, the rear is very bouncy and the wagon just doesn't drive that great too bouncy and stiff. I would like a more "stock like" riding wagon. Because I want to be able to drive the car like a normal car, but still lowered a little bit..
So, here's my thoughts,
Choices:
I have some 2000 Si stock coils on hatch struts
Also stock RT coils with new wagon struts.
I was wondering if I cut a coil or 1.5 coils off the si springs to lower my wagon about 1.5'' from stock and left them on the KYB struts, ....? since the spring rate is almost twice what the wagon came with stock , Overall I think if I cut them and used them as lowering springs they would work? and save me some $$$
Also because I used some sport H&R springs and Thought the front was too low.
What do you guys think??
If it doesn't work out, I will just put my stock RT springs on it with the new wagon struts, and rock that for the winter haha.:smug:
I painted the trim on the front and rear bumper with trim black, also have 2000' SI springs on there now with 1.5 coils cut off the fronts. rides great
Hay I haven't been on here in a while, But I just bought a house so I have been doing lots of repairs to the home. anyways cant wait for the next meet!
So.... I have been having a hard time getting into first gear and reverse...
What I have done until today with no results for the better:
Note: Keep in mind I had a new clutch and flywheel installed 3,000 miles ago
1. Removed center console and greased sifter box.
2. Checked cables
3. Installed a new pedal assembly
4. Adjusted clutch properly
So, I just changed my tranny fluid back to Honda MTF, like i ave always used. While draining the old out, I noticed it was motor oil!!
with the new Honda MTF, it goes into gear as it should! that's what I get for assuming that the o nda shop doing te clutch 3,000 miles ago would use the correct fluid!
technically, according to the specs....it's supposed to be 10w-30. mtf was actually designed for newer cars than ours, but it's mostly motor oil anyway so no worries. as long as she shifts correctly, who cares.
this is such a clean red wagon. keep up the great clean work.
(maybe some wheel spacers)
Thanks, I appreciate it!
And that's what i was thinking too, I ave been looking for a lower offset wheel, although I like the stock look, so i might think about rebearling some RT's..
The LED lights are awesome. I still want/need to do my reverse lights. Does it give better light when actually in reverse? I wasn't sure if it would illuminate the viewing area better or just brighten the fuck out of the lens. I love it looks on the plate though.
The other problem I'm having is with the dome light. About 3/4 of the time, it will barely light up and I have to fuck with the door switch to get it to light up to 100%. I haven't messed with the little slide switch yet, but it's super annoying since there were no issues before I swapped to the LED panel.

Well I had the same problem with my dome lights, so I took the door switch off that was giving me trouble and cleaned it, That fixed that issue.. as for the reverse lights, they are about the same brightness as before, so I'm going to try a different LED bulb in them. But overall still happy with them

wheels look phresh
I would raise it back up, but I like driving a mildly lowered car. for spirited driving. So I don't know maybe some day?
But I have my other set of wheels, and they wouldn't look good on a stock RT.
I'm getting close to this!! ^^
