1990 Red RT4WD Vancouver WA

Well its about time I make a build thread! (I have been working on my wagon for about 6 months now)

On September 1st, 2011 I drove to Lacey WA to buy my 1990 red 6 Speed RT4WD

Specs when i bought the wagon:

185,000 miles.
All original inside and out, no wrecks, or anything like that.
Lowered on ebay coilovers on stock struts.
Stock motor, newer 6 Speed.
Missing rear tranny mount!
Froze up power steering pump. (and no ps belt)
Dented drivers side fender.
Broken drivers side corner light.
Red rally armor mud flaps.

Really a pretty good car, in very good shape except for the fender.

on the way home:

The wheels that the wagon came with:

when i got the car home washed and waxed, with a rack i had laying around:

Love those wheels on a red wagon.
Were all the replaced components OEM or did you throw on some after market goodies?

Things i have installed on the car since I have owned it...

I painted the wheels yellow to test it out...
    691.jpg

not a fan of the yellow.... so i bought some super clean LS Wheels for $250

    Tinted the windows 20%
Passenger side mirror (the last owner gave me the original one) Then i sold the mirror delete that was installed for $30

My shifter bushings were very worn out, and loose so looking around the junk yard, i noticed that in a 1989 honda prelude(that also has a cable shifter) has the same small bushings at the end of the cables (at the shifter end)

So i got a few of those bushings and picked the best two....

Also out of a Donner RT I bought the shifter assembly to play around with haha

I cut out 1.25" out of the stick, and welded it back together...

    707.jpg

It defiantly feels so much better !! :)
also i like the shorter stick too...

Well last week I started noticing that the wagon is needing a clutch... also the rear main seal, and pan gasket are leaking oil pretty bad... so i called around for parts, i also called a small shop in Longview Wa named "Acur-it" they only work on older Honda's and Acura's... He said he would do everything + A new OEM Flywheel for $700 so i thought hay that's a pretty good deal!

    So.....

Here it is in their shop!
