Well its about time I make a build thread! (I have been working on my wagon for about 6 months now)
On September 1st, 2011 I drove to Lacey WA to buy my 1990 red 6 Speed RT4WD
Specs when i bought the wagon:
185,000 miles.
All original inside and out, no wrecks, or anything like that.
Lowered on ebay coilovers on stock struts.
Stock motor, newer 6 Speed.
Missing rear tranny mount!
Froze up power steering pump. (and no ps belt)
Dented drivers side fender.
Broken drivers side corner light.
Red rally armor mud flaps.
Really a pretty good car, in very good shape except for the fender.
on the way home:
The wheels that the wagon came with:
when i got the car home washed and waxed, with a rack i had laying around:

Here is a long list of what i replaced/changed
NEW:
rear tranny mount
Front engine mount
ball joints
upper control arms
lower control arm bushings
both fron axles
new front brakes (disks+pads)
sway bar links and bushings
Oem SI manual steer rack with power steering delete.
Were all the replaced components OEM or did you throw on some after market goodies?
I painted the wheels yellow to test it out...
not a fan of the yellow.... so i bought some super clean LS Wheels for $250
Tinted the windows 20%
Passenger side mirror (the last owner gave me the original one) Then i sold the mirror delete that was installed for $30
All four Stock RT4WD mudflaps Thanks to Nick!! (503wagon)

4,700k HID kits Hi and Low beams
Suspention mods:
New KYB civic Hatch Struts paired with Skunk2 Sleaves that I bought off of craigslist....

I was tired of scraping and wanted to be able to use the car as it was intended!!
It rides really good! heres how it sits now:
Cleaning the carpet...
Thanks! i didnt like the wheels they were in bad shape, and not a very good paint job, lobved the color though!
and the bushing and rack were OEM honda.
Other than the struts and skunk2 springs all oem stock componits. haha
parts:
fuel filter
Changed rear diff fluid
Cap+Rotor
plugs+wires (NKG)
Lower spark plug tube seals (orings)
Valve cover gasket set
PCV valve
most all the vacuume lines
Then a Powedercoated Black hammer finish valve cover, and heat sheild.
Pretty much All the top end seals.
Timing belt. New radiator, Water pump... all at the same time! its running smooth!
For everything i paid $255 + $5 in stickers hahahaha
The rack fit very nice and sterdy too!
So i got a few of those bushings and picked the best two....
Also out of a Donner RT I bought the shifter assembly to play around with haha
I cut out 1.25" out of the stick, and welded it back together...
It defiantly feels so much better !!
also i like the shorter stick too...
So.....
Here it is in their shop!
I am not sure what i am going to do with them haha
Thanks!
Good, glad to hear they work! Love when it's just a simple fix
The wagon is on jack stands in the garage on jack stands right now.... The wheel bearings I installed when I bought the wagon have taken a shit on me! (well only one side) but I went and got a set of SKF bearings, hopefully will be installing those at work sometime this week, I can use the press there hahaha Also I am still looking for some rt wheels, but I bought a full set of the center plastic caps off rt wheels today, No cracks, all in good shape, they are mint! $45
Can't wait!
pretty soon, we are all going to be rolling on stockers
theres a guy on cl that does powder coating. i think it's $45 a wheel. check out his site powderchrome.com
i think i'm going to have him powder chrome my bbs wheels.
that include stripping them?
