lucky! mines got a 4.5 lift on 32's ill try and find a pic i think i got one with my wagon in the backround too. i just installed a ruged ridge sye seemed like a good product.
I went to have some fun on lunch a few weeks back and posted a picture, well Charb said it looked easy and he could do it in his Civic...I explained the entrance was a lot worse than the spot I posted up. Well last week I went to go down the same path with my new steering kit, and wouldn't you know I got stuck! The actuating pin that goes between the two transfer case linkage arms wore down the hole causing the pin to fall out, so I had NO 4wd! haha

That is the softest mud ever! I probably sank into it another 3 inches before I was able to get pulled out. This weekend I'm going to flush the t-case and fix the linkage so I'm prepared for my trail ride a week from Saturday.
- The picture doesn't do that hole any justice, it was probably about 2.5-3' deeper than the ground you pull in from, so by time I got my rear wheels down into it I had no traction from the front so it just bogged down.
Had a pretty eventful day. Installed my CB radio, got it and the antenna brand new for $45. Flushed the cooling system, replaced the upper and lower radiator hoses, and thermostat and gasket. Wired up my HIDs to a toggle switch, and contemplated replacing the drivers motor mount but I think the sun beat me. haha
A little while back I fixed my transfer case linkage after the flanged bearing was missing by making a new spacer and getting a new flanged bearing.
Also had a friend at work weld this ballstud for the hatch back in place.
Got the leaf packs swapped today, it wasn't terrible since the bolts had been taken off recently and when I did them last I cleaned the threads with PB Blaster and a wire brush. I didn't really have the right hand tools I needed, but I made due. I'm really happy with the outcome, I imagine once it settles it will sit level. This is on the 1'' section of the adjustable shackle so I can always go up a hole if it's sitting to high in the rear.
Had binding on the transfer case yoke and rear driveshaft, so I dropped the transfer case to install a slip yoke eliminator (SYE). It does away with the stock tail housing and mainshaft/slip yoke for a fixed yoke to run with a slip driveshaft or cardan joint driveshaft. Luckily I can use a FRONT shaft from the same model Cherokee, so I'll be grabbing one at PAP over the next week or so and then reinstalling everything next weekend if everything goes to plan. I'll probably be replacing the trans mount, cross member with a heavy duty one, the drivers motor mount, and the front rotors while I'm at it! I haven't driven it in about a month at this point so I'm ready to get it going again!
Got the SYE installed. Hope to have the case back in Saturday.....luck would have it my wagon went down this week, too. So I'm technically without a drivable car right now....
Reposting this picture to show the difference in the tail housings.
Got my JCR Offroad gutter rack mounts in yesterday!
Next week my custom winch bumper is being built in lieu of parts I traded. It's going to have mounts for the lights I have out front as well as a stinger, winch mount, and recovery shackle tabs. This damn winch has been sitting for too long with no use!
That green Jeep is a buddy of mine about 3 miles away. He doesn't have a dedicated build thread, but it's basically a 6.5'' long arm kit, full custom exoskeleton/bumpers/tire carrier. He did all the steel working himself, he's the guy I traded a bunch of parts to for a custom bumper....which should be done soon!
Terminus- Here are a few pros!
Lightweight
Doesn't store energy
Floats in water/mud
Thinner diameter means more length on drum
Stronger
Can be spliced in field if it breaks
Flexible
Easier to handle long lengths off the drum
Did he build that light rack on top too? I'm looking to build something similar.
Bam, do you really need the longer basket? I'm looking for a load warrior locally with no luck. The main reason I went with the Aerostar setup was so I could have the bars wide enough to fit the basket in between, not on top. Just an idea.
I just got the extension for the longer basket because I thought the short one looked odd. The Aerostar rails were chosen for much the same reason- to use the whole roof.
I have some Cherokee towers that sit a good bit lower than what I currently have on.
you got some badass stuff going on there, Josh! If there were more (or any!) spots to ride around here I might follow you.
I still want to take Goldie along for a trail ride sometime.
On the rack mounts: I still have those Yakima towers, but if you don't need them I may use them to lower the crossbar height on my beast.
There is a trail near Beasley...well a service road, that has gotten to be a little ''fun'' but isn't nearly what Beasley is. I think we are going to hit that in the next month or two, a stock 2012 Grand Cherokee was able to do it....maybe Goldie can?
I think I'll just end up using these mounts for the time being, thanks for the offer on the Yakima towers though!

Yes, that light bar is folding like a desert/prerunner style.
Front and rear extended stainless steel brake lines!
My rear line is maxed out, any flexing and I'd probably rip it out of the axle!
Comments
Not sure if I should lower the wagon or lift the Jeep more to get the hood/roof lines level.
1.25'' DOM tubing and 7/8ths tie rod ends.

Even better that you get to play with it for work purposes!!!!

also, i would be terrified to drive behind your jeep for fear of rock chips...
but she looks rad!
Not that I've ever heard. But then again unless you're ricing around or running open header they don't pay you much mind. lol

10500lb cable winch and a used 10500lb synthetic rope.
Also went ahead and did an H4 headlight swap. They are SO much better than the sealed beam!
