overheating !!!

ok i have the carb 1.5 and it had a blown head gasket when i bought it.. so i replaced it.. the car ran great for a few days.. now the car overheats again. and in 5th gear when im cruzin at 70-75 it sputters and has a loss of power..so if i push in the clutch and let the rpms drop.. it runs fine again.. im curious what anyone thinks the prob may be?? water pump?? thermostat?? anything of that nature??

    When you put everything back together did you bleed the coolant system of air?

    yes.. but it has a rough idol. so it spits it back out.. so i used the bleeder. and it still does it..

    ok so heres a update.. i checked the thermostat and there wasnt one.. so i put one in.. also the heater core wasnt workin.. so out with that.. but whenever i bleed it.. theres still air bubbles poppin up.. someone please help b4 i strapp this biach with dynomite!!!
