Sticking Throttle Body

I was searching and didn't see anything on this. Hope this wasn't already covered.

Anyways, ever since I picked up my wagon, I notice every morning I find the accelerator pedal is stuck so I have to gently force the pedal down just a bit before I start the wagon. This happens pretty much every time I let the car sit a moment before I start her up again. Once I break free the stick the car then runs perfectly.

The other night, I decided to take a look at the throttle body, sprayed some carburetor/throttle body cleaner and even went as far as shoot a little WD40 onto that butterfly float flap thingy to see if it would help. For a couple of days after, this seemed to have worked and was very happy with the results however it's sticking again.

I was wondering if someone had some good advise as to why this is happening and can provide some recommendations on how to fix this small issue.

Thanks!

Try lubricating the cable as well. Have you checked to see if the cable is binding on anything?

I had this same problem with my dpfi. At first I thought it was my throttle cable so after replacing that I pulled everything apart. Did the same thing, unloaded close to a full can of wd40, carb cleaner on the damn thing. Also used a brush to clean it out.

Might want to check the throttle cable again and the return spring on the pedal assembly.
