Steering rack issue

Below is my problem. I don't have a welder close by but I have a rt rack I could change out are there any differences ?

That's not the rack, that's your crossmember (sometimes called K-member).
As far as I know, the only 2 different ones are for power or non-power steering.

Lol that's what I meant. But ya do we have guide to what needs to be undone to change these?

Jack the car up and support it on jackstands.
Remove front wheels.
Disconnect both outer tie rod ends.
If the car has power steering, disconnect the lines. There's a sheetmetal cover on the bottom you'll need to remove for access.
In the driver's footwell, disconnect the steering shaft u-joint from the rack's input/pinion shaft.
Remove the rear engine mount and bracket.
Put a floor jack under the center of the crossmember to support it, then remove the four M12 (17mm head) bolts that secure it to the unibody.
Lower away!

you can put the manual rack in the RT crossmember, just have to bush the clamp on the right-hand side. Use the rubbers from both racks together.

I know this aint my thread and dont mean to rain ur parade...but can i convert from P/S to manual rack on my fwd 90 wagon....and if so can i use any 88-91 civic (wagon/hatch/sedan/crx) i hear i can use a DA rack?
