$7 for the wheel and leftover paint (matches my wheels). I couldn't be happier! I ended up doing it twice though. The first time you could see some lines on the wheel. And I also didn't paint the horn button covers the first time around. After I got it re-assembled, I realized it wasn't up to my standards. Especially considering how often I'll be looking at it lol So I did some more sanding. Also painted up the horn covers on the back with the wrinkle paint from my wheel caps.
BTW- this bitch was diiiiirty when I got it! There was so much damn grime on EVERYTHING. I spent about an hour scrubbing it with soap and water before anything. Again, well worth it in the long run.
I love the 3 spoke wheel. really opens up the instrument gauge panel, but 3 horn buttons? Is that so you can honk as you are trying to pass someone while the wheel is turned 180 degrees?
Wow,you guys are doing great work on these things! I have a white Grip Royal now and It will certainly be sold if I can locate a classy old school wheel to refinish. Not to mention the price difference between the two is well over $100! Simply awesome.
I'm really liking the 3 spoke wood wheels - what year and car are they from? I want one.
It's from a 1973-1979 cvcc. It's a pretty large steering wheel compared to the stock one in a wagon if your considering to get one and swap it out. It's a sweet steering wheel.
Your wheel is epic simplyhonda.
While I'm here I would like to post my new woody wheel replaced for my rubber cvcc steering wheel.
