Nice ;) are you going recoat the undercarriage? If so with what? I was thinking about using truck bed liner....
  • 503Wagon503Wagon moderator
Truck bed liner is too Heavy. Rubberized under coating is where it's at.

Hmm good thinking! Do they sell it in an aerosol can?
  • 503Wagon503Wagon moderator
Yeah. Any autoparts store will have it. Pretty reasonably priced too.

    ^lol

    yes and no

All of it? No. Some was done because we cut the fenders into the wheel well. So it was seem sealed from the inside too. We weren't planning on doing all of this. It started as a new fender, some fender flares, and rhino liner makeover. Started buying doors and bumpers and just got way out of hand lol

I don't know that I care enough to redo the whole undercarriage. Definitely not now anyway. This car is going to get the daily driver duty for a couple/few years. Then who knows. Working out the kinks on a new shop now. So hopefully start a real project soon...

My PIAA housings were done in rubberized undercoating btw lol Hopefully they hold up... definitely wish I had prepped more in retrospect haha

Sounds like you got a case of the WAGON! >:)

I wasn't supposed to have a bare metal wagon shell either and now look at me... I keep finding things I want to do to it.

I lol'd pretty good w/ your text today!

I was like- wait, what? hahaha

Anyway, the new tenants fell through so we've got some breathing room. Still need it done ASAP, though. But at least now I don't feel so bad about taking pics. There's still a TON of work to do. But the bodywork is nearing the end. So there's a lot less stress with it being back on the road soon (at least). I'm gonna be moving to a new place to live this week too (so much going on right now its crazy). A place where I have a spot off of the road, and can actually work on my car (fucking HOA's are the devil!). Not to mention I believe KKR and I are going to be sub leasing the shop you've been seeing us at. This is extremely exciting to actually be able to call it 'my' shop, and not 'Reid's' LOL

So basically now that the weather is nice, and I've got some space to work, you cant expect to see some serious shit going down this summer!

And a new wagon club house!

KKR's dad is letting my borrow this Suburban... gas= but, I am moving this week, and can fit everything I own in two trips (maybe one) haha

I wish I would have kept my last driver fender for a side by side comparison lol (and for an extra buck when I recycle!)

light at the end of the tunnel...

86* today in Spokane! Loved every minute of it! Took the office chair outside and enjoyed the warm evening while KKR finished the priming...

We had seat belts on lol what's the difference between that and a Jeep? Every state is different. Thankfully I'll never live in California :)

K as soon as I get that 'real' job I've been waiting for for the past couple of years haha

Was supposed to be done this week lol

    But life happens...

Realistically I'll be driving it next week. But there are 1,000,000 little things that need to be done to get her back together.

If any locals want to help put her back together, you know where to find me :) brews included
