Well on efforts to make nancy less of a whore, I am coming up to perform a bit of surgery on her, clean up that floppy gine and get it back to that 17 year old dream gine.....
Wow my lack of sleep is killing me, and this drive is boring as hell

LMFAO!!
This is cutting into my football time... hurry the fuck up lol
Fallin deep on page two... time for a picture-free update...
Finally got the car registered last week, so I'm finally daily driving it. Really loving it. Lot's of little things wrong. Squeaks here and rattles there. All things I will get to in time. Car doesn't smoke at all. So the only oil I'm going through is via a leaky rear main seal. Which I'm not in a hurry to fix. There's a lot of options on the table. But honestly, I'll probably pickup another car (hopefully wagon) before I consider any down time on her.
Purchased the bull-bar back from 503wagon. The one from Jane that I got from ragenasian a couple summers back. I restored the bar itself as the paint had gone to hell. Really hoping to have it powder coated this summer. But we'll see. The lights themselves are pretty ruff. I've got a couple ideas to restore them until I have money for new ones. But I likely won't have time to get to it for a week or two at least.
My main concern right now is cleaning the interior. Currently the carpet is ripped out for a full shampoo. And I straight up threw out the rear seats. Not save-able. Last few days has been a lot of elbow grease trying to clean up the pounds of dirt and dog hair that was under the carpet. The carpet itself is actually in great condition, and expect it to clean up quite nicely. Just lots of dirt and dog hair. I also scoped out some minty blue 88/91 Prelude seats at the salvage yard today to replace my haggard fronts. Didnt take time to grab them. But I'm going back tomorrow.
Priorities list (in no order)
driver fender
hatch
rear seats
windshield
exhaust
Once those things are taken care of, I'll start throwing my fun parts on her. I've got 3 arm rest options to play with/fit, some paint, and tint planned hopefully all before the end of the month...
i know a guy who does tint around here... ill see if i can find his number... he did my gray wag with a 20% wit a lifetime warranty for $180. The dude tinted at snows for like 12 years and was tired of the bs so he quit. lemme know if u want his info
Don't completely throw away the rear seats. If you have the pans/padding/hardware maybe one of us can find you some covers. Thataway shipping would be easy. Just a thought.
bam, unfortunately the foam was tore to shit... damn dog
I'm excited to pickup the Prelude seats tomorrow. Have no idea about mounting them. But I'm gonna shampoo them with the carpet before they go in anyway. So I've got some time.
Im going to replace my windshield soon, due to an annoying wiper scratch(im picky). If you're ever in southern cali you can have it? Lol. Although, Its quite far.
People keep asking me why I'm not working on my car...
My reply: 'I'm not?'
Figured I'd take a few pics so people could see what I've been doing since Christmas season finally passed...
Ripped most of the interior out. Time for a good scrubbin!
Picked up some 90 Prelude seats. Best $17 I've ever spent for a car! I don't have them in yet cuz I just purchased some wagon brackets from turbo_teg. But I'm hoping for an easy install. I would imagine people would start buying these if so. Great seats! And a lot more readily available than something like CRX Si.
Some stitching came undone. Not sure if I've got the patience or time to pull the seat cover off and re-sew from the back side. Or if I'll do it from the outside. Either way, I still love these damn seats!
yay!
I'm gonna guess the memory button is to restore the settings from when the lever releases for the back seat people to get out. Probably won't get used. But I'll try to figure it out once it's in. You can see more of the matted dog hair I'm attempting to remove...
The passenger seat. Mint, but dirty like the driver. Ripped off the rails, was gonna use the ones in my car. But now I'm gonna wait to use the ones I just bought.
Got this armrest from a 93 hatchback. Needs a cleanin. But I mocked it up in the car, and is gonna work extremely well. I'm gonna trim it and mate it to my stock center using some fiberglass. Not really sure what the person before me was doing by cutting it. But it works well for me, as it will be trimmed right near where its already cut.
Restored the bull bar. Again
This time when restoring the lights, I decided to use rubberized undercoating. This may or may not have been a great idea lol
This is my second attempt at painting the RT wheel caps. Originally I used textured black. Then painted the 'H' with model paint. But I just couldn't get a color match I wanted with the H. Which ended up messing up the texture (started to peel, not sure why). So I used air plane stripper (not fun or recommended for these caps) and decided to try again. This time I used VHT wrinkle paint. I am VERY pleased with the way they turned out! I've got some paint coming from Honda, with hopes of having them finished next week.
I'm looking for a fender and bumpers locally. Hopefully find something within the next couple of weeks. By then I should have my exhaust done, windshield, and tint. Then I can throw all these goods on her.
Also, thought I should let peeps know about the Fit center console I borrowed from Billboard...
I didn't have my cam when the center console was out. But piperotto and I put it in and attempted to mock it up. It's too long to just sit in there, but being as long and deep as it is, there's a LOT of room to trim to fit. It is quite a bit deeper than the stock wagon console. The shifter and ebrake line up nicely too.
Someone with some Dremel skillz could take this and make one hell of a center console for a wagon! I just don't have the time currently to work with one. But look forward to seeing when one of you eventually does!
Not sure if he's gonna sell this or save it for his next wagon... but keep an eye out when you're at your local salvage yard!
Ended up with the night off, and very bored, I decided to see how easy it would be to swap my passenger seat. Correction: see how hard it would be lol cuz it ain't gonna be easy haha
Gonna do some cuttin and welding to the stock Prelude rails. Easiest way because the seat pans are way different.
Y you've obviously never say in a good set of racing seats. Or you just want seats for comfort and not for racing.
I daily my car and autox on the weekend, sees quite a few road trips. So its a real happy medium to tell you the truth. The just hug you so good, my ass stays planted right where it needs to be. Thats what happens when you have honda engineer a 4 wheel steer beast of a car. Charb I know you will enjoy them.
